If I don't come up with anything this month, have this as a substitute, from a “music for an imaginary horror movie” contest theme aeons ago.

I don't know much about the genre, but I suppose that means I will die a horrible death shortly ... unless ... What if I promise to watch a Halloween movie? Which one would you recommend?

no, it wasnt a reference to why he might kill you.
the mainstay of the whole genre (slasher pics) is, serial killers have big issues with premarital sex
as for halloween, the first two are great (originals) i love the dr loomis character, without that it would be your more basic (friday 13th) where there isnt really any juxtaposition.
although i do also enjoy friday the 13th and the many others. i can understsnd why people dont. for me, theres a certain sense of nostalgia, at the time, they were the films we weren't supposed to see (i was quite young when they were released, 5 or 6 for halloween i think) and were passed around on vhs when we were around 10/11.
and i love that although they did start to drag them out, they themselves stopped taking it serious, so they became as much slapstick as horror. where they started as soft porn with horror i guess. not so much halloween, f13th is full of breasts though

Yeah if you want to watch one movie then Halloween 1 is the one to watch, I can also recommend Halloween 4.

I‘m not a fan of horror movies, but even I liked the original movie. Also, for a hatewatch so bad it’s good Jason X is hard to beat.
