I didnt realise there was a free .rar unzipper, thanks.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 2:58 pmNo you don't. Either download UVI Portal and install through that (best way IMO) or (if you're on Windows) just download a free application called 7-Zip which works with ZIP and RAR archives.kenny saunders wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 2:55 pm I bought Falcon and 4 expansions but in order to use them I now have to buy winrar for £41, are they taking the piss!?
Google suggests Mac users can instead use a free tool called The Unarchiver.

Also it seems the 100 euro voucher is a one use only even if you dont use the whole amount?

Yes, unfortunately, but it’s good for part payment on higher ticket items. I used it towards Vintage Vault when that was on sale.kenny saunders wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 3:55 pm Also it seems the 100 euro voucher is a one use only even if you dont use the whole amount?

ah ok. Oh well its not too bad as I got 2 exps with it. i just thought i could knock 20 off another but they are very reasonably priced anyway. So far I've only looked at a few presets from Voklm and it sounds bloody good!WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 4:11 pmYes, unfortunately, but it’s good for part payment on higher ticket items. That feedback machine is fun
Little spooky vibes for spooky season! Pairs very well with the organ oscillator with some distortion

The new arp looks great, it's going to be perfect for something I'll be working on. The amount of power Falcon has is awesome.
But in terms of updates and the general trajectory of the software, my main wishes would be for UI streamlining, as harnessing the insane power gets tricky once one has a bunch of keygroups and layers that can't be easily reorganised. Commonplace tasks require flipping between tree and list view when it would make sense for most functions to be accessible from the tree view alone. It seems to me a few small changes would improve workflow dramatically, and unleash the beast, or let the Falcon take flight, or some other stupid metaphor.

I completely agree. The less clicking through tree and list view the better. I often have to click through the pages to find which settings are on either of the pages. If the two pages were combined it would greatly speed up the work flow (for me at least).chagzuki wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2020 1:07 pm The new arp looks great, it's going to be perfect for something I'll be working on. More drag and drag & drop functionality will be enough to make workflow way faster and allow people to experiment rapidly and without pain. Please, consider it. Ideally, everything should be "drag&droppable", like on a real working table.
I know It's a lot of coding and wall schemes but it would be extremely great

Another request which I imagine would be super easy to implement: a modifier key to fractionalize the value of mouse wheel adjustments, something like a quarter amount... or user-definable in preferences. That way adjustments with mouse wheel could be both very fast and precise. Again, unless this exists and somehow I've missed it, either because my mouse or PC config is somehow incompatible.

It would transform the whole experience. I'm tempted to say I would love the whole environment if that were implemented.Dombaeb wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2020 2:34 pm More drag and drag & drop functionality will be enough to make workflow way faster and allow people to experiment rapidly and without pain. For sure. Lack of this is the main reason why Falcon is associated with a slow but powerful dinosaur for me. And also the reason why I continued to buy synthesizers after I got the Falcon.

Put the whole part in omni and a wrap a quick script to limit to one channel each layerDrFolder wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 4:29 pm Loving the update. Is there a way to have layers respond to different midi channels in a part?
Code: Select all
local channel = Knob{"MIDIChannel", 1, 1, 16, true, displayName = "MIDI Channel"}
function onEvent(e)
if e.channel == channel.value then
postEvent(e)
end
end
