Hi,

what is your favorite plugin to create movement or interesting sounding "accidents" from a rather boring melody/bassline? I occasionally use Tremolator and find it can add interesting effects to the input.
Anyone can recommend some other VSTs?

I'm using Multipass, Snap Heap, and Soundtoys Effect Rack with turned off analysis brain function. I'm patching everything to everything. The most important thing is thinking no more than 2 seconds on any decision. That's the way how I'm using intuition as an invisible direction pointer.

If you on Ableton, try Device Randomizer (include in one of the free official Ableton max4live pack). It's actually a "happy accidents" machine in the purest form.

No one has mentioned any of the Unfiltered Audio stuff, but Sandman Pro, Dent 2, and Fault are my go to plugins for "what just happened" type effects.

A convolution reverb can use any sample to transform your sounds, try putting some kind of noise or rhythmic loop into it instead of a standard reverb IR. Can get some GREAT sounds out of that.
