Have you tried the Bitwig vocoder?
Need help replacing some Ableton stock plugins while moving to Bitwig

Yeah... you can build so much in Bitwig. Bitwig's delays are unique in that you can put anything inside the delay feedback.dangayle wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 10:26 amSee, this is where things break down. Instead of throwing a plugin at it, do it the Bitwig way. Take a short Bitwig delay and use a filtered noise or sine wave to modulate the input signal. The raw tools for this sort of thing are extremely powerful in Bitwig, and if you're not taking advantage of the modulation system, why are you even bothering with it?El°HYM wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 6:43 amI believe Corrosion might be your best bet here, there are other Options which can do similar Things, like https://www.meldaproduction.com/MNoiseGenerator & https://www.voxengo.com/product/crtivshumovick.Neon Breath wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 1:30 am Technically, to answer your question here's the explanation from Ableton effect reference:
The Erosion effect degrades the input signal by modulating a short delay with filtered noise or a sine wave. This adds noisy artifacts or aliasing/downsampling-like distortions that sound very ”digital.”

The Bitwig Vocoder is solid... plenty powerful. When you have a chance, revisit it.
I don't know what result you want (I used to use the Live Vocoder quite a bit but it has been a few years now) but am confident that the Bitwig Vocoder can get there. Anything can be the carrier - any device chain.

I just learned this lesson. I have to admit that I tend to overlook included plugins because I erroneously assume that there are better replacements. In my case, I was looking for a delay plugin that had a really great filter in the feedback loop. Something akin to The Drop level of quality, especially the drive part. Maybe it was you, but someone pointed me towards Delay 2 and before I knew it, I had exactly what I was looking for.pdxindy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 3:42 pmYeah... you can build so much in Bitwig. Not only can you put The Drop in the feedback, but any chain of devices (Bitwig or VST)... so you could put an EQ followed by the Drop and an ambience Reverb all inside the feedback loop. Add a couple modulators, make a preset page for The Drop then you could save that as the default preset for Delay 2. Then you have The Drop parameters right at hand instead of opening the GUI.
It's really slick!

Other triggered noise plugins:
https://www.denise.io/store/denise/Noize2 (haven't tried)
Also getting a wide variety of good results with MVocoder with noise as the carrier.
The below plugins can do triggered noise, but the noise's tonal aspect are not related to the input's frequencies, unlike a vocoder or shumovik.
https://www.bozdigitallabs.com/product/ ... machine-2/
https://www.meldaproduction.com/MDrumEnhancer (before loading a sample, it instead triggers noise. )
Reaper's Reagate (but only triggers the noise when above the gate threshold)
https://www.reaper.fm/reaplugs/ (works on Windows only. Don't need to use Reaper)

Most of those have prett ydirect replacements in Bitwig. For convolution you could grab the free ConvologyXT, and for stock reverb you might want to grab Oril River Reverb for free.
Someone made a grid preset in an attempt to copy Ableton's erosion I think, worth a search on the Bitwig forum.
Otherwise amps, saturation, waveshaping etc is in Bitwig. And the vocoder is pretty good as well.
Delays are probably the best thing in Bitwig effects thanks to being able to put plugins in the feedback path.

https://bitwiggers.com/presets/41216720 ... e066a7977/ for an Erosion preset, as mentioned above.
I haven't compared the two though.

You can also put plugins and Bitwig devices in the reverb feedback too. It makes the Bitwig Reverb quite flexible.Echoes in the Attic wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 12:21 am Most of those have prett ydirect replacements in Bitwig. Yep. True. I guess I do that less because I rarely use Bitwig's reverb, but definitely is a great option.pdxindy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 5:02 amYou can also put plugins and Bitwig devices in the reverb feedback too.
