Cherry Audio has released an update to CA2600 (1.0.20) which include a new "favorites" feature for presets, as well as several fixes.

Favorites Feature

Right-click on a preset (or ctrl-click on macOS) and select "Favorite" to add it to the favorites preset list. Favorite presets will show up in a separate "<Favorites>" category in the preset browser.

In addition, we've fixed issues with high-frequency aliasing artifacts that could potentially show up when using CA2600 at 44.1 kHz, window resizing issues with some DAWs, and more.

For a complete list of changes, please see the version history page here:

CA2600 version history: https://cherryaudio.com/instruments/ca2 ... on-history

The update to CA2600 will automatically download the next time you run the software, unless you've turned off automatic updating, or Internet access is not available to the plug-ins. Or, you can download the updates any time from the download page here:

The problem with the filter resonance did not change! Please fix it. It seems according to some posts here its fixed for the Windows version, but the Mac version doesn't do resonance correct at all!!! Still just fading in a sine wave. I don't care if there is an offset or not, it should make the filter ring...

The resonance issue was fixed for both Windows and macOS in Build 89, the latest build of the plug-in's DSP. Click on the Cherry Audio logo in CA2600 to see what Build you're running. Shown below is Build 89 in Logic Pro with noise running through the filter, and the filter self-oscillating at 8kHz.

Note that the Build does not update via the installer. Instead, CA2600 self-updates the Build directly from our servers. If you don't have Build 89, make sure CA2600 has access to the Internet. You may need to run it stand-alone if you've blocked internet access to your DAW.

Yes the resonance has been fixed ( luckily ) , and the aliasing problems too ( latest update )
Kudos , good to see that cherry A. is making it better and better

Also , the last update required the installer update , previous udates happened directly in the daw

Why is it "luckily"?

Good to see that the plugin gets some work. :)

I have to say I'm impressed with Cherry Audio... I don't know 1% as much about it as GenteClockDivider clearly does, and honestly for $25 I was fine just to have all those presets (including in Unify where I can layer them with anything else)... but to know that some (what seems to me to be) high-level critique of the coding and implementation of the filter has been listened to and fixed so quickly is a sign of a company responsive to customers...

I was a little bit on the fence about how I felt regarding all this "take our modular stuff and make it into non-modular VSTs", but for $25 and this kind of quick action I'm more than satisfied...

Tonight's the first time I've really played with it for long and a couple of things struck me - firstly I can now see why it's in the same family as the Odyssey as you can get very similar tones out of it and I am definitely going to get the Behringer version at some point. It really comes alive when you run a short repeating sequence and start playing with the modulation options.

Are you safe?

There is still some strange stuff going .
Set filter to bandpass 4 pole , resonance to 90 % percent , cut off to 100 hz and slightly modulate by lfo , the higher the resonance the nastier the effect
Here's an audio

Wooww , , here the filter is totally bypassed , a sine direct to output
Could it be the engine itself ??
These artifacts appear when bypassing the filter and also when filtering a signal ( see first screenhots )

The saga continues

It did update automatically (nice) but there is a problem with the filter. You can't see it on a spectrum, but hear it clearly! My test is an impulse to feed into the filter. This video explains it:

wow. is this free beta test from the buyers? demoers? what is this? users patching up this thing on the fly.

disastrous release. this couldn't be the case provided there was a proper beta testing phase done for this synth. you can't just miss all this stuff.
