Just for the record the VSTi version has been rock solid here without a single crash or performance issue. (Win 10 64 bit)

I didn't even bother to install the standalone since I'll always be using it in my DAWs anyway.

What OS and audio driver are you running ?

No problems on Windows 10 here either. And it is multi-touch capable!

No and... no? I use the basic built-in soundcard for regular audio and another soundcard (old M-Audio 2496) for ASIO applications. Works fine for everything else. It's possible the standalone is trying to grab the wrong thing and getting confuzled.

I wonder if there is a settings file I can manually alter... That's what I did for some of the Sampleson standalones that needed some tweaking to work properly. Can't find one, so far.

Not a huge deal, at the moment. I think an actual bug report... channel? stream? server? ... will be set up on Discord when Vital actually goes live. I can wait. Vital's standalone is not (forgive me) vital at the moment.

i mailed in my bug report and got a reply almost instantly.. discord isn't the way

I make my own sound, it has wave I have created with wave edit in Vital & FX in Vital & modulation. If I sellect my own preset folder (let say My Best Sound) and I save it there? Does it work then?

If you create a patch doesn't matter if it has waves or fx or not and try to save it to a custom folder it will automatically save to User>Presets folder instead.

If you don't mind your patches being in the User folder instead of a custom folder then it's not a big deal.

once i sorted the content install issue, it's been rock solid in logic 10.6 on catalina; so far, so good. and am having a lot of fun with it (& will update to the pro version on the 24th). as mr burns says... "excellent!"

I imagine Matt is getting swamped with questions and reports at the moment and it will get worse on 24th when the free version drops.

Ah yes, and on the 24th we will no doubt have multiple threads for Serum beater, Pigments beater... Phase Plant beater...and the obligatory 'Virus beater'

It really is a great synth, really well thought out- totally 'modern' GUI with great visual feedback, drag and drop modulation, MPE, interesting and plentiful modulation sources (love the way it just makes more when you use up the ones on the screen

) and of course interesting things to do with WT's (text to WT works amazingly well) and nice sounding, flexible filters.

As for the price structure- spot on, I swore I wouldn't buy another WT synth...but it got me and now I have the $20 in I WILL upgrade.

An absolute hit...maybe even synth of the year!

Any roadmap for future features? I know I'm jumping the gun here, but I do like seeing what the developer might have in mind for things to be added.

I'll be buying either way. Vital looks incredible.

Hmmmm... Not very convenient to have all oscillators going to the same FX block
Would really like to see insert FX on the oscillators, and send FX, like on VPS Avenger

Right click on the WT window, select 'text to wavetable' - type text in the box and press enter!

Short enough?

Playback with a slope (lfo) and lower notes sound better (more like a voice) but can be made more 'vocoder' like with the 'vocode' setting on the first dial (spectral morph)

Thanks! I poked all over looking for it but never right clicked in the WT window.

Yes it is very easy. I'll be using this function a lot.

Can you free draw shapes in wavetable editor? In the videos I've seen it looks like you need to use some dots/points and drag lines between those - not really "draw"?
