There used to be a demo. Since NI updated Super 8 to the R2 version (including VST3), there isn't a demo version anymore.

Kontour in VE Pro:
Reaktor auto.jpg
what shows in the list @R is ~30% of parameters
It looks like everything in Kontour is automatable.
It's very sensitive, a lot of it; I've done a fair bit of work in it.

Bought this yesterday, it's perfect for my current 80s covers project. I really like the sound and it's so easy to work with. It does take a long time to start, though.

There is no Reaktor synth anymore? Just the standalone?

I have both, but I use mostly the Reaktor one. I think the reason I have both because I bought it before the standalone came. It is a great synth! I need to use it more!

Today I bought (or re-bought!) Form and Scanner XT. I think I like all those Reaktor synths. The only two remained are Kontour and Prism. Not sure I will buy them as I have enough FM synths for now and I have inside Live Collision and Tension (Physical Modeling). I also have tons of great strings/mallets in MODX. Anyway, I don't have anything like Super 8! The sound is great :)

I think it is time for NI to seriously consider updating all their synths size. I don't think I can see them well in 4k/32" monitor as they are barely fine in my 2k/32" monitor! If I hadn't been playing games, I would have bought 4k/32" sure (which I'm considering buying it some time soon because mainly for the new consoles). NI synths will be problematic to see with such monitors (except maybe Massive X).
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Oh, when did NI change this? Is there a way to still get the Reaktor one? I wanted to get that with 13 next summer.

As far as I read (I haven't tried it), it's still Reaktor, but the Reaktor part is worked into the VST3. You can still load it into Reaktor as well though.

That's also probably the reason why there is no demo (yet).

Oh great then. The Reaktor one uses slightly less CPU though.

Ah, OK, that's what I wanted to know, thanks.

I purchased this in the sale the other day and to my disappointment I found out that V2 is the non Reaktor VST 3 only. I contacted support and they added the Reaktor Super 8 V1 to my account.

What difference would it make? The VST just saves you having to put Reaktor into a project and then load the Super 8 ensemble so why would you want to do it the hard way?

Can you really not load version R2 in Reaktor anymore? Sorry for the confusion then. I was sure I read it here that it's still possible.

You can increase the polyphony in the Reaktor version, plus if you’re into building you can edit the synth to add filters, modulators etc or use parts of it in your own creations.

R2 is a VST 3 not a Reaktor ensemble.

It's not locked, so I could edit (add stuff) it in Reaktor, but not if it is a 'normal' plugin.

Right, because you're so much cleverer than the guys at NI.
