I'm on a bandwidth limited dongle - I need to know how big the download is before I install.

Did not spend much time with Vital yet, but here is a simple wavetable pad using a wavetable I originally made for Surge:

Definitely a great synth for moving pads and such! I'm definitely going to spend some more time with it, I think.

Thank you. :tu:

I can't do 100MB. I'll try playing with it but so far, no matter what I do, it still sounds like a Stylophone.

This link is 79mb compressed, see if you can download this, else if you have wavetables in your PC you can add those manually.

Thank you for your help. I didn't realize I could use wavetables from other instruments but I have been playing with some from my Surge folder.

yes, i've written it a few pages ago:
you can drag&drop actually any wavetables' synth wavetables onto it

the size
of the freeware factory presetsfolder is around 80MB zip compressed, or 119MB not compressed

It's fantastic for pads, one of the best for pads I have used to be honest.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

What is wrong with suggesting to someone they put some thought into their opinions instead of writing down the first load of drivel that pops into their (mostly empty) head? You need to grow the f**k up.
Danilo Villanova wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 10:22 amYou are possibly the most bitter and miserable person I have ever found online.
Boo-f**king-hoo, you pathetic little man. Nothing better to do in your sad, little life than comment on other people. I thought this place was about music and musical instruments?
How miserable your life must be to insult people like that?
I haven't insulted anyone, believe me. It's not compulsory to agree with everything everybody says. You are allowed to have your own opinions, you aren't required to simply ape what everyone else is saying.
How weak and lonely are you in real life that you must act out in a forum to feel powerful?
Darling, I'm just treating you idiots the same way I treat anyone else, which is the same way they treat me and everyone else. It's called acting like a grown-up, you should try it some time.
Do you actually think that somebody buys that you are a “tough guy”? Everyone can see a weak man-child with daddy issues when they see one. You sad, sad poor excuse of a man.
Words only have the power you give them so you'll understand that I don't give a flying f**k what you think. The incredible arrogance you display in suggesting you know anything at all about me or anyone else here is breathtaking. What's interesting, though is that you seem to feel it's OK to call me a "sad, pathetic excuse of a man", yet apparently you don't think it's OK for me to suggest someone's stupid opinion is actually stupid. Do you not see the mind-blowing contradiction there? Do you not see the massive difference between attacking somebody's opinion and attacking the person who put it forward? Those are the kinds of mistakes that start wars and get people killed. you need to lift your game, bucko.

So you're suggesting he was using his brain and that was still the best he could manage? That's a pretty low assessment of the poor prick, don't you think? I prefer to think that most of you aren't as stupid as the dumb shit you post here, where you seem to think perhaps you all are.
Teksonik wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 2:38 pmAre Vital's filters the best in the business? No. Is Vital the first synth I would reach for when making these types of sounds? No.

But if you have even a tiny bit of creativity and skill you can get great sounds out of Vital. Those who lack imagination and skills will focus on the weaknesses of a synth.
Nice try but the question becomes why? I get the impression you put no value whatsoever on your own time, I'd probably be the same if I was as useless as you, but some of us actually have better things to do with our time that work around the limitations of poorly made instruments when there are much better alternatives that we already have. Hell, I'd reach for DUNE before I reached for Vital and I haven't touched DUNE in at least 6 months.
Those who have sufficient imagination and creativity will focus on the strengths of a synth and enjoy getting great sounds out of it.
Yeah, right, so where's your latest album? Don't you think it's way past time you either shit or get off the pot? You've been trotting this particular strategy out for way too long now, you need to find something new and a little more original.

Because the thing is, as I said yesterday, I've got a few good sounds out of Vital, too. So what? It's not hard, sound design is about 5% of what we do. I can get good sounds out of pretty much anything. The question, always, is why would I bother with any particular instrument if there are so many better ones out there I could be using instead. In Vital's case, it is let down by it's filters so I will use my chart-topping experience, imagination and creativity somewhere else, where I don't have to worry about the filter getting in the way of what I want to do. It's pretty simple, you'd have to be incredibly stupid not see that.
Not every synth is for everybody and with the free version it's possible for everyone to make up their own minds if Vital is for them or not. They don't need your "help".
But, clearly, you believe we all benefit from yours? Seriously? Can you not see the arrogance in what you're suggesting here? Are you really so utterly self-centred? I've long known you to be a nasty piece of work but I hadn't really noticed your narcissism before.
Not everyone is looking to make the same sounds you are and not everyone is trying to make every synth an emulation of some forty year old analog dinosaur.
The same could be said of every person here, so what makes my contribution any less valid than yours, for example?
Vital has just been released and the developer has been quite responsive on his forum so I am confident it will continue to grow and improve.
I hope so because it definitely has potential, but it needs to be a more well-rounded package before I'll bother with it.

There ever a thread where Bones doesn't make everything about him? If there is, let me know via PM so he doesn't find out which one he missed.
Have you tried Vital?

I'm sorry your parents mistreated you, but that's not how grown-ups act. There are kinder ways to live, and they are much more enjoyable than the anger you portray.

what's astonishing is, if you don't agree with him, it automatically means you're 'wrong', and are just copying what others say. plus, look how many people he's responding to. 'my one viewpoint is superior to everyone elses'. yikes, sad stuff. and so off-topic.

again, if you don't like something, make your point, then move on to a thread where you can discuss what you do like (altho, i guess ranting & raving works best in a contrary situation).

bones: chill. breathe. find that spark of humanity you know is in there somewhere, and stop fighting with everyone.

or not
