All versions have the login screen, but it is planned to be removed, and hopefully soon. :)

Edit: @revvy the login information is supposed to be saved so you don't have to login everytime, but it doesn't work for everyone.
So, do I understand correctly that the intention is that I am always logged in to some service whenever I use the synth? Otherwise it wouldn't need to store the login information.

I have no problem with a plugin checking for updates or downloading assets as long as it does so without sending any identifying information but I don't want to be logged on every time I use a synth. If that's indeed the case then I think I'd rather pass even if it seems to be a great synth. :(

^ Just used it fine now disconnected from the internet. Open, close the project, added new instances, no problem.
I lost my heart in Cap de Creus

You can disable the 'new version' check. + It works offline as well

That TTWT feature of Vital - is this a common feature of other synths? Absolute blast for veteran Arman Van Heldon fans such as myself.
Serum does have text-to-wavetable. It's more of a gimmick (retro, low-quality) in Serum, rather than a high quality online thing. The idea itself isn't new in Vital, though.
Waldorf Quantum and Iridium also have text-to-wavetable, which is arguably much rarer in a hardware synth.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Enjoying using Vital. Found the gui to be quite intuitive on first use. Very cool for soundscapes ambient pads and textural exploration.

OK I had now some time at least a little bit to play around. Here is my first impression:

-WAV tables and OSC-effects are very good till excellent in my opinion (just first evaluation)
-Modulation and GUI has potential to be/get one of the best in the market
-Filters unfortunately are not so good, they are somewhere on Massive 1 level to me
-The FX until now I do also not rate them very well, either they just don't sound good for me or I am completely unable to dial in what I want to achieve or expect.

BTW: Is there anywhere a manual? I do not get the function of the compressor for example. It seems that attack and release do not control the time in ms but rather the "rate", means higher values are faster. Do I get it right? To drag in the compression or expansion areas, where these lines then get more dense or spare, I assume it shall be the ratio. But not sure, The effect is strange in my ears and also strange to use.

Summary:
Very good synth in terms of GUI and OSC. For filters and FX there is some headroom to improove. Contradictions and other personal experiences are appreciated.

BTW: I am already preparing the template for the hopefully coming OSC (it would be my first one, maybe I get it managed to participate one day, but with Vital it would be worth for me to try) :D  :hihi:

Are there any free preset packs + wavetables to download for this thing? :)

Post

From what i test free version is fully functional fresh wt synth, loading external wt and easy making nice modern sound - aside from support what makes people buying pro mostly?

Quick "Thanks" to all for clearing up the logon situation for me. And a hearty thanks to the developer for Vital.

You need to be logged in for the text to wavetable functionality. But I think that's going to be optional soon.

So you can either use it now and skip the login, or wait until then :)

What is even more fun, is that most often that 12yo kid with bandlab is more succesful than that 40yo with 100k studio.

It is a great synth but to me, the stuff that makes it unique is stuff that isn't so important to me and isn't entirely intuitive to operate. I'll keep the synth and keep playing and maybe in time it will be something I can use but for now, "thank you" to the creator and "have fun" to those who are more in tune with it. :tu:
