Excellent work so far all y'all, especially first timers. You'll get hooked. Like I have.
So, here's a thing made with Monique, which is a characterful synth, shall we say. Hope at the very least it's not too arduous to listen to.
- Synth: Monique by Monoplugs (28 instances)
- DAW: Cakewalk by BandLab
- Channel FX:Cakewalk Pro Channel EQ, Airwindows Channel8, Alex Hilton A1 Trigger Gate, Auburn Sounds Couture (Free version), Blue Cat Triple EQ, D16 Frontier, Full Bucket Brigade Delay, OrilRiver, Sanford Reverb, TDR Molotok, Valhalla Supermassive, Voxengo OldSkoolVerb
- Bus FX: Cakewalk Pro Channel EQ, Alex Hilton A1 Trigger Gate, Convology XT, Sanford Reverb, TDR Molotok, Valhalla Supermassive
- Master: Cakewalk Pro Channel EQ, Voxengo OldSkoolVerb, TDR Kotelnikov, TDR Nova, LoudMax Free

there’s some really interesting bits n pieces being made with monique, i should probably invest more time in mine, but i’m rather lazy when it’s all said n done
my main reason for posting was the voxengo span trick, holding down ctrl and using your right mouse button whilst scrolling through the frequencies ( on win) to isolate a selective band and find nasties etc in your sounds
i seem to be, not just lazy but a bit slow to understand things
sorry to take this away from the normal

Wow, very cool, didn't know this either ... only ... on my system it's the left mouse buttonEauson wrote: Fri Nov 27, 2020 1:16 pm my main reason for posting was the voxengo span trick, holding down ctrl and using your right mouse button whilst scrolling through the frequencies ( on win) to isolate a selective band and find nasties etc in your sounds
And also, if you use the mouse wheel additionally, you can change the bandwith ...
Thanks Eauson!

Sadly, I spent less time on my submission than I wanted to.
Bitwig 3.3
Monique instances, total: 237
102 for instruments (most of them were used to provide polyphony)
135 for ambient intro (128 for droplets, 5 for wind, 2 for thunder)
Various numbers of built-in effects like arpegiator, delay, reverb, filter, dynamics (sidechain compression) eq. Freeclip is the only external one, besides of Monique of course.
My project file is a complete mess and it's not easy to count these things
, I'll provide it soon™ with edit (that's the OSC submission rules).
I hope you like it.

But, beware, most(if not all) wheels work as a third button by pressing them like a click!
Can lead to odd things happening if you didn't know about this

"The Eye of the Needle did open indeed...and sucked the camel right through, ambitions, greed and all. Only to leave it stranded...but where ? Nowhere near the Kingdom of Heaven it would seem. Now the daunting journey home begins. Will the alien muezzins hold the key to re-opening The Eye ? "

A wholly unintended sequel, somewhat more unruly than it's predecessor, but there you go. It is, of course, also my entry for OSC 141. As for Monique: after a month of marriage, I'm filing for divorce, !
Made using REAPER 6 and Monoplugs' Monique VSTi ( 20 )
and:
JS MIDI Transpose Notes (8) doing the obvious
JS Chebyshev , cutting the highest of highs
TDR Nova as track insert (14 ) for mild highpass filtering and control of peaks ( mostly in the 2-4 KHZ region ),
TAL- DUB II as bus effect for several of instruments
LoudMax, peak limiting on the percussion bus
Oril River (12) 6 pairs of mono instances ( 2 dual mono, 2 early refl. , 2 late refl. )
ReaEQ (3) doing light duties on 2 reverb busses and master
Ozone Imager 2 , for widening on master
Limiter No6 on master
Then, on a somewhat dark note: It's been great fun participating and exchanging musical insights and I'll try to keep it up for sure !
Due to some potentially very serious health issues, I can no longer be sure if I'll be able to participate again
. And since just silently leaving feels utterly wrong, I take this opportunity to wish you all well. May happiness follow you wherever you go !

Really sorry to hear that - very best wishes for 1) non-emergence of heath issues, 2) any health issues tending towards less seriousness, 3) speedy and full recovery from any health issues arising.ELEX wrote: Mon Nov 30, 2020 12:28 pm Then, on a somewhat dark note: It's been great fun participating and exchanging musical insights and I'll try to keep it up for sure !Due to some potentially very serious health issues, I can no longer be sure if I'll be able to participate again

Hi folks
My Monique entry. Some interesting design choices in this synth, certainly capable - though the lack of intuitiveness I found quite challenging.
https://soundcloud.com/zarf/zarf-bouncer
28 Moniques in Ableton.
I used Monique delay for all delays, and lots of Monique reverb.
DAW FX only
About 40+eq, too many on everything as I can't make up my mind
About 15 compressors all over the place
Couple of Glue compressors
Couple of multiband compressors
Bunch of utilities for volume automation and monoising the bass
A reverb
A limiter
Good luck all
