Did you try setting "VST Output Buses" to 1?
It should work with one stereo output. Or you may try to start RapidComposer with administrator privileges, if there is a permission problem.

It is an old plug-in that I have no access to.

I don't know where that setting is, but it crashes on "reading vsti information," so I"m not even able to initially add it to the program. It is older and a bit finicky. I can just run it through Studio 1. Thanks!

Edit: I'm assuming you mean the setting that's from the VST. Sorry, I'm a little slow.

V4 on Win10 is not showing the drum map when using "midi host." It would be nice to see a map for the VST used in the host.

Just installed the newest Beta and going into the Chord Rules section, Pop Major... and just touching one of the sliders immediately crashed RC with "AppCrash" or something. Just an FYI. Thanks, all!

Hi Attila.
Using v4.18b.

After editing a phrase, using the pencil icon in the generator, the preview displays correctly but the preview in context button plays the original phrase.

Yes, it seems to change when pressing preview in context and then jumps back again. Very strange.

I am evaluating RapidComposer before buying, but it is not working on my Mac as AU inside Logic Pro. It freezes during start up (after selecting Demo option).

My setup is:
Macbook Pro 13-inch 2017 16Gb RAM
Macos 11.2.1
Logic Pro X 10.6.1
RapidComposer 4.1

Is there any compatibility issues between Logic and RC 4.1?

RC is working fine as standalone app.

Hello, not sure if is a bug or if I am doing something wrong. I do have a piece is 3/4 and it's described that way. When I do use detect tempo and adjust with another track midi import it seems to consider it's 4/4 and creates the modification this way. I also adjust the view to Bar in the Grid and it places the Bar on the 4th bar not on the 3rd one even if it says 3/4. Can someone help? Thanks

I have not extensively tested the AU plug-in under Big Sur, but it is working well on earlier macOS versions. I'll do more testing soon. If you could send me crash dumps to my e-mail address (info@...) that would be a big help.

Hi Attila.
I think there is still a small bug in the preview in context.
It seems that the preview does not observe chord changes and previews them as the first chord.
I don't know if that's intentional.

Also, in the example, I deliberately exited the inspector without apply whilst it was still previewing, followed by hitting escape to mute the preview and there was a strange screen redraw.
v4.1 / Windows 10.

thank you for posting!
'Detect tempo and adjust' is useful when you want to insert a phrase recorded using a different tempo from the composition tempo.
The algorithm analyses note beginnings and tries to find a common length for a 'beat', and adjusts note positions and lengths. The algorithm does not use the main composition signature, it works with note positions only.

It would be great if you could send me the original MIDI file before you applied 'detect tempo and adjust' so that I can check if there is something wrong. Maybe there is a bug which no-one found yet.

indeed, it is wrong! With the recent changes I think I messed up something. I'll have a fix today.

PS: I am sorry for the redraw issues. The preview with other tracks happens by replacing the original phrase temporarily for the duration of the preview. This is not the nicest solution.

EDIT: fixed now.
