I am not as familiar with the S-50 but I remember there was one at the college I went to back in the day, along with a D-50. I know it's sampler, but I wonder if they'll recreate it?
Or maybe even the D-110...though I already have the D-50. I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of a multitimbral plugin since I could just load multiple D-50 instances instead, but it might be interesting to see how they re-work it. The D-110 didn't sound as good as the D-50, but maybe they could improve some aspects of it.

An old band mate had the S-10 which was their entry level sampling keyboard and it was pretty good for the day, loaded samples from floppy disk. Memorable gig was one where he had a Salt'n'Pepa sample that he played looped for ages when half our hired PA blew up on us and we tried to fix stuff. Typically the audience enjoyed dancing to that about five times more than our proper set!
It would seem counter-intuitive to remake samplers when we can now sample at much higher rates for hours, but there is something in the lowered bit depth, on board Analog-to-Digital converters, filters and other circuitry that means some of these do have a character of their own. Not having owned any I'm not sure which are worth replicating, but I've head that Arturia have done a good job with the Emulator in their latest V Collection.

that was a typo, should have said “all day long”. Thanks for pointing it out.Shiek927 wrote: Sun Feb 07, 2021 2:02 amJesus ChristWatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Feb 06, 2021 6:42 pm You two can stick your thumbs up each other all day wrong![]()

Not sure...they might at some point as they seem to do that for whichever plugin(s) here and there. Also I know when you subscribe to the Pro version for a year, they give you a month of the Ultimate version so you can try it during that time period. I'm not sure if that also works if you only pay for one month of Pro. (?)Hpwenzel wrote: Sat Feb 06, 2021 7:57 pm Is it possible that one day the XV Synth can be played es Demo?

So you need to sign up at least to the core subscription in the cloud manager. There is a free month when you subscribe and you can then get it there.
Keep in mind it is vst3 only. They don't even tell you where the pluging folder is (it's in common files folder).
I might actually buy it as I was looking at the Jupiter XM but it's too expensive.

"They" don't tell you because all companies install VST3 there so it's a well known fact.yul wrote: Sun Feb 07, 2021 4:28 pm They don't even tell you where the pluging folder is (it's in common files folder).

It was my first vst3 I never knew about this. Actually they don't even tell you it's vst3 only unless you read the specs on the website. Either it's misleading or an omission I don't know. My host is VST2 only so this is a big issue. There are some bridges available but it's not ideal.kmonkey wrote: Sun Feb 07, 2021 4:50 pm"They" don't tell you because all companies install VST3 there so it's a well known fact.
