Not sure where to ask this, sorry.
I'm looking to replicate a sound, and I'm wondering whether the type of guitar matters, in terms of the pickups, build quality, and such. The sound I'm replicating happens to use a strat. So... is there somewhere I can compare the sound of the Stratus to other models? I have the Hydra and Jupiter (Jupiter by accident, didn't realize there was an 8 string)
Like, how does the clean guitar sound, straight from the pickups? is Stratus better as a lead instrument over the Hydra? Just curious whether it matters and whether I should pay full price for it, or even get it on sale. Wondering if there's alternatives out there.

Wish I could have more input than that. I'm not much of a guitar player. I just try different ones until I hear a distortion sound that is nice to my ears in the song I'm messing with!
