@megapixel : I'd use https://16-bits.org/pt2.php for Protracker and https://16-bits.org/ft2.php for FT2 playback. Those are 1:1 conversions of the original programs.

Check out OpenMPT also, but it can get the playback time wrong at times...
Here are some of my old Amiga assets (mod/med files, covers, and 2 of my very own (mp3) /cringe):

Going from Amiga Octamed to Windows Octamed in 1999 though was a massive leap forward. I had musicmaker.org back then and the octamed guys supplied me with the windows version for free for a review on the site and I cooked that tune up. The other tune was something I cooked up to kill the mood in a school eisteddfod, everyone else was singing hymns and dancing and shit, I played that at max volume with my Amiga hooked up to the PA and via my own system on stage (I think the speed is screwed up on it, the export is far from correct, way too fast, that or I got old )

Since there's a wind from the past here, I'd like to ask if there's an OctaMed/SoundTracker/Protracker player on Windows that can natively decompress .mod.pp (Powerpacker) files?
Or is there some - possibly free - tool in Windows like 7zip that can handle this .pp format?
Thanks,
Mario

I'm not sure, but I think you can open the mod/med files in OpenMPT and export the samples.mabian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 1:26 pm Since there's a wind from the past here, I'd like to ask if there's an OctaMed/SoundTracker/Protracker player on Windows that can natively decompress .mod.pp (Powerpacker) files?

It seems to accept my mod.bladerunner-humppa.pp and mod.acid sniffer.pp easily

Thanks, but I also have Octamed modules and I'm afraid this Protracker clone won't be able to load them.legendCNCD wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 12:43 pmhttps://16-bits.org/pt2.phpmabian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 1:26 pm Since there's a wind from the past here, I'd like to ask if there's an OctaMed/SoundTracker/Protracker player on Windows that can natively decompress .mod.pp (Powerpacker) files?

Its what I use for my octamed tracks and the YouTube videos on page 1 or 2 of this thread. But glad it works. Just watch its tempo, it sometimes gets it wrong.
