"Orpheus in Hades" Entire track based on a short sample of wind chimes. Goes to prove that wind chimes don't automatically mean new age chill.

love this kind of thing
squeezing as much as possible from the simplest sounds. we find some unexpected tones from them :tu:

your piece, some eerie moments indeed, and i really like the tooth is f a comb sound too, im assuming speed up and granular? has a very crisp sound, with the more bell like tone filling out the spectrum.
lovely
except...
a bit short, could have easily lasted longer, imo :) also ends a little sudden?

thanks, alot of the repitching was done on a Digitakt. There is some odd stuff done in HourGlass which I guess is granular? There is also some repitching being done "live" with Zynaptiq Wormhole. Re the end, yes, something a bit odd there. Not sure what happened, it wasn't an audio edit. Maybe the virtual tape ran out?

Pretty cool. I'm a total sucker for these sorts of ambient soundscapes. Almost can't believe the track was made out of a single sample.

Great listen...such a varied, 'narrative' soundscape from such a small amount of raw material!

"short sample of wind chimes. "

Bells, chimes, gongs etc...you've just gotta love those sounds and the sonic potential in there! :)
