Which VST has the most advanced arpeggiator build in? (Reason rack excluded)

i am trying to move from a hardware keyboard setup to a software based setup. I use the arps in my montage a lot for backings, which gives me more freedom then a static sequence.

All opinions are appreciated.

I don't use Pigments but this synth has the most advanced and fun arpeggiator I ever met in softsynths

+1 for Pigments. Arp and Sequencer with 'randomization' functions are great - you can also use them to trigger other instruments. I wish to have a midi plugin like that.
Beware! The software discussed in this topic has unacceptable aliasing at -386dBTP but it can be fixed by changing the sample rate to 12Bit

I didn’t know that you could use pigments for other instruments..
But its one of the most interesting VST’s over all, still regret not buying it when it was on sale

BlueArp is a very good VST arp and is free
Kirnu Cream is good too. Paid arp plugin.

I mostly use the Arp in Bitwig.
Lots of VST synths have good arps, but most do not output midi to use with other plugins.

Currently available : Pigments is good and fun to use.

Discontinued: I always liked the DCAM Synth Squad Fusor arp (Animator). Deep modding awaits.

Maybe not the "most" versatile, but maybe you can check out Papen's Go2.

I asked something similar...

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=517802

Parawaves Rapid Synth is probably the one of the most versatile when it comes to built in arpeggiation features. It has 8 for each layer..32 step pattern mode.•Up, down, random, queue and chord mode.•Import/Export external MIDI files.•Octave and shuffle control

Dune 3 is similar but with 32 step pattern and midi file import, but has just 2 arps, it has a few more play modes though and additional parameters for variation.

Both are solid suggestions. Computer Music plugin pack includes a version of Kirnu, with very minor limitations compared to the full version. Kirnu has tighter (sample-accurate) timing, which BlueARP doesn't. Because of this BlueARP has a sort of inbuilt "humanizer", which is great for some applications and not so much for others.

Using an arp MIDI plugin means that you only need to learn one interface and you can then use it for any instrument.

Kirnu is also more of an arp and BlueArp is more sequencer...

Cool... didn't know Pigments arp outputs midi!
From the manual:

9.1.10. MIDI Output

Pigments includes a MIDI Output so that any of the patterns generated by the Seq/Arp
sections can be sent to control any other virtual instrument. This can open up a lot of
interesting options for sound design or to breathe life into old virtual instrument

Pigments seq/arp is really good.

Omnisphere's arp is pretty cool and the Capture function can grab the notes that you've played along with any arp settings you are using at the same time. Then you can drag the file it generates to another track in your DAW for use with other synth/sampler plugins.
