I think I've budgeted myself too low in the past. I want something in the $700 range.

Less concerned with a billion amp models. More concerned with pulling out "Dad rock" (okay Granddad rock) tones out of it quickly.

The new Line 6 HX Stomp XL might be just the ticket. An added plus is the optional VST plugin which can be used by itself or as an editor for the pedal.

+1 for HX Stomp or Stomp XL. I was in the market recently and find the stomp perfect for my practice and their models of the Orange and Revv amps are actually good.
If you are in the US - Musician's Friend Sells their big brother "Blemished" LTs at about $700 https://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifi ... 6002000000 - Not sure about the returns or warranty though.

Oh.....and their ability to load your own IRS is a plus for me too!

I had the original RP10 back in the 90's and back then it sounded great. I tried the versions of 10 years ago and I thought that they really missed the ball.

I think I'm going to go with Headrush Gigaboard.

I was thinking about getting the Looper version for synths but I could not find a single demo of one. If you ever decide to try it out on a synth, I’d love to hear it.
