It was sold 3 years ago to somebody.

it was really accurately sampled, but cumbersome to use. Does anyone know who bought it?

They had a good product but I'm guessing development costs ate them up while trying to keep up with the competition.

They are doing a closing sale:

Welcome to the MIXOSAURUS store for customers in the Americas. The regular store is closed now (see here for details), however we still have a few original MIXOSAURUS KIT A units that we are offering in a closing sale. These are sold under our full two-year warranty and they will receive full service and support throughout - the only difference for you as a user is the bargain price!

I'm not sure what other people have experienced, but I paid for the version 1.2 update, and after a couple of months of not receiving the disks, which they claimed to have mailed, they simply stopped responding to any emails. It's been over a year now with no reply.

The only similarly detailed hi-hat, for example, that I know of to mixo is Natural Drum Kit, which is also a large kontakt library, though about one-sixth as large as mixo, and something like 1/5th the price, but without all the mixing options, and with a fixed level of ambience. I'm not aware of a replacement for it, other than putting a bunch of mics on a real drum kit in a relatively dry room.

Has anyone tried Purrrfect Drums 2.0 from Studio Cat? This might be another alternative to Mixosaurus and Atelier NDK.

Only closed company I know that still sells T-shirts . ;)

After buying many Drum plug-ins my favorites are Supreme Drummer (when I have time to mix drums) and Addictive drums (when I don't). The editing ability and detail of sounds in AD are great and works well.
