Considering getting heavyocity gravity while it's on sale. Is it worth it in 2021 or are there alternatives that came out in the past 5 years that are better? I'm specifically interested in the impacts and whoosh designers, partly for scoring but for song as well. I'm looking for something with better electronic/cinematic sounds than Rise&Hit and am not impressed with the 8dio options.

To those of you that own it, what do you think? Is it worthwhile, or is it better to just find individuals samples/ another kontakt library? do you find the pads/soundscapes useful, or are they just padding (no pun intended)?

Truthfully this might be my least used 3rd party library. I've never really got it, to be honest. Whatever it can do, other libraries or plugins (including from Heavyocity) can do it better. It's always seems oddly toothless to me.

Remember also that the developer has a strict NFR policy.

Still one of the best out there for trailers and scoring. The sound design and sound quality are amazing to this day. Tempo synced whooshes and risers are worth the admission alone. But the overall style is dark and tense. Hard to imagine it can be useful in EDM or song if it not aggressive or dark. I am sure there is many walkthroughs was made since it was released so you must be able to hear almost any sound it contains. Stings category is great and there is really many sounds in there. Also very fast to work with. Sometimes I use it for effects sketching and then dive deeper into design.

... so many rigid audio releases - ( kontakt instruments ) that I think they're an obvious replacement for the many expensive cinematic instruments circulating around ...in a number of the RA ins -
you can load your own Wav files (etc) what in turn enables you to experiment even further,
NI Straylight enables drag and drop of your own samples too. Once they update or release
some that load four layers - you will need nothing else - unless you like collecting and not learning
something in depth...

Check - ATHEOS , PLETHORA ,SUPINE to name a few,
Best to get them from

often on offer !!!
