Hey, anyone know any good plugins for a tabla? Thanks!

If you want something free, you can try this although it's 32bit only.

There are some good commercial instruments out there too that I have seen but I can't remember them off hand.

Another 32bit freebie that has a tabla.

If you happen to own Kontakt: the tabla in the factory library is imo very good. You might also consider NI Discovery Series India. I suspect the sample base is quite similar to the respective Kontakt factory libary instruments. However, playability is better and it comes with MIDI loops for each instruments. And, if you do not already own Kontakt, it is cheaper (it is a Kontakt Player library so no need for the full product): https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... rld/india/

Battery 3 had a nice Northern India library, more extensive than most things
my go-to would be that or if it's totally tabla-centric India by NI. there is a tabla in World Instrumens in the Kontakt Factory Library.

I think you'll find a few ethnic percussion keepers on this page,
free, and mainly in Kontakt format. There is the free DecentSampler plugin/standalone
for the pianobook's own sample format, if you backtrack the link.

Also, while Kontakt 13 select is still half price, it includes the very excellent 'West Africa'
library/sequencer-tool, and their Drumlab.

(here's the current komparison chart for NI bundles, for the curious: )

Here are two that I use:

The second also has sitar and tamboura, but it requires the full version of Kontakt.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...

the Impact one also has MIDI grooves and some kind of nifty FX if you like high resonances
the tambura is very good I think
