Read about this device, for 99 euros, that lets you connect a 3rd party USB hub and then you may plug up to 8 class compliant USB MIDI devices into the hub and it will handle merging the USB MIDI data to and from its onboard 5 pin DIN MIDI in and out ports. The videos on YT are in Spanish, which I don’t speak, but my assumption is if you set the output MIDI channel on one synth to 1 and another synth to 2 then when merged the output DIN sends the MIDI events on channels 1 and 2 respectively.

Had a bit of a ‘mare recently where my Windows PC, after an update I think, suddenly stopped recognising class compliant audio and MIDI devices. I don’t want the pain in the arse of a reinstall and my long term fix will be buying a new music computer and keeping the current one for gaming.

If this device works as I think it should then it would mean I could put off buying that new computer until whenever it is a new M1X powered Mac Mini gets released and would actually prove useful even after that as it cuts down on the number of USB devices the computer has to deal with.

Question is - anyone tried this unit, does it work well and especially want to know any issues to do with stuck notes, latency etc?
