I'm vegan but I gave it a go, as vegan sausages are getting quite good these days. Problem is, I can't seem to get the envelopes working. Sound wise, I don't want to rely on the presets, I want to be able to program my own, but without functioning envelopes it's impossible.

I actually think the synth was made by Yobare, wasn't it? Looks and sounds pretty much like his other stuff.

It's a synthmaker synth, they all sound and look the same, if you want to try a 32bit version try Nightlife or Warrior
