How can I make this organ like smooth pad with Serum? What waveform to start with, how to setup the lfo to get the kind of mwah?

Do you mean the organ like synth @4:20? A certain timestamp always makes sense....
I would start with sine/triangle waves and then get some nice overdrive to add overtones.
I'm not sure what you expect, Serum is a very clean sounding synth. This would not be my first choice for this type of sounds....

Yeah, I mean that organ like sound! Yeah Serum is very clean, but easiest to create from screech...All my other synths are preset players....

Hard to tell whether the organ sound is that prominent, there is also a bass and I think a Rhodes type of sound playing at the same time.
My personal suggestion would be to have a look at an organ emulation, from Arturia for example. I don't think Serum give you good and satisfying results.

Saw with lopass filter, reminds me more to kind of bowed strings sound, this sounds more organ like for me....But maybe works....

I found this video, on designing organ like R&B pad sound, it’s pretty different but organ like....I found very nice organ like sounds in Synthmaster player too.....I have sampled Hammond sounds, but now interested in organ like synth sounds...

You must use the resonance of the filter and keytracking = on. There is also something like a chorus effect on the sound....barczabass wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 6:56 pm Saw with lopass filter, reminds me more to kind of bowed strings sound, this sounds more organ like for me....But maybe works....

I'm not a very big fan of Arturia's synth emulations, but I like their vintage keys collection.

I watched a couple of tutorials on YouTube, so my opinion about Serum changed a little bit. I want to try, to make some more natural sounds with Serum in the next weeks, I think it's quite possible. So why not start with this organ.barczabass wrote: ↑Sun Jun 20, 2021 11:38 pm How can I make this organ like smooth pad with Serum? The timbre of this sound consists of a square wave and a sine wave, the sine wave is one octave above the square wave and a little bit detuned. The level of the square wave is important to the sound, also the chorus in the FX section. Let me know, if you have further questions.
