Wait, that's your opinion. I don't agree with that.
Yeah, maybe read to the end of paragraph before you comment back ;)
You're right, sorry. I missed the "if" in your sentence (I need glasses!)

Woot?... Why? :) MX is a mere 2 years old.
Sure, but I bet it'll at least 3 years old when a big update arrives.
Speculations. :ud:
Yeah, maybe you're right, and it won't take that long.
We'll see. I can't imagine they spent all that time doing nothing, that's all that I'm saying.

Well hopefully they can turn it around and the future will hold solid updates for their important products.

Seems like NI will inevitably get it turned around. To me, it is just a matter of when...

Hopefully Native Access will allow removal of the vst2 versions if a customer only needs the vsts3. As for the NI itself, the owners and the employees are both in it to earn money in a peaceful, happy environment. If the money isn't there, and the workplace becomes toxic, a company loses it's best employees, and then the profits and ownership are at risk. It's on the ownership to remove or isolate toxic employees, so that the 'team' enjoys coming to work, who must be compensated fairly according to their productivity. Some poker game bluffing is often in play when it comes to pay. A great coder who is underpaid and unhappy in a flawed environment has options, and should use them.

It's on the owners and delegated bosses to keep current in their knowledge of their team capabilities, their market, and the always fast approaching future. When there are investors and board of directors involved, who may lack specific knowledge of the internal situation, maintaining and increasing success gets more complicated. An investor may have several projects at the same time, and be delighted if there are two losers and three winners, perhaps not overly concerned with the fate of people in the losers. Little wonder there are so many startups and small shops producing quality products. That's good for people in shopping mode.
Cheers

On the Mac, Native Access has no uninstall at all. Would be helpful if it was added as one has to uninstall manually on Mac.

Post

I don't think it's possible. Native Access always installs all versions for me.

New updates (vst3) are removing vst2 without asking.
It's fine for me but maybe not for the others.

Post

Not here. VST3's installed alongside VST2's.

Appears that Komplete Kontrol also got an update earlier to support VST3 as well. That's cool.

(EDIT: nevermind, only for Kontakt apparently).

Hmm really? Vienna Ensemble Pro still needs VST2 Kontakt so that wouldn't be good.

I should have addressed it directly to the peanut gallery. They're the only ones who read my posts anyway. (I suspect my shrink reads some of them, and mercifully gives me a discount when I make sense...)

here both VST2 and VST3 versions were installed.
I'm not sure I have an actual use case for Kontakt VST3. Once upon a time the 4 ports will have been nice but VE Pro has up to 48. I'm sure somebody will use more than the one in an instance now, if it does that as it was projected to (haven't looked yet).
