So much stuff, some doesn't even get much of a mention...like being able to apply probability / randomness to any drum/sequence! New MIDI monitor, Undo History etc...I don't think there is even a full list/release notes yet.
Being able to plug in any class compliant USB mixer or audio IO is simply game changing....

+1
I just have the software (plus I have Maschine as software as well) and never fully took the plunge. The USB audio io feature will definitely make me consider this a purchase in the near future

Been using it for a while...my favourite part is the audio interface support...Ive been using a Yamaha THD 30...gives me speakers and input with my MPC. The new instruments are all very usable...had Hype in the Force, great to have it in the MPC.
And theres more to come

Incredible upgrade ...and I'm away from home until 1st of August
I'm tempted to install MPC Software on my "holiday laptop" to play with the goodies, so I know what's what then I'm back

Well the Force beta (which Im not part of in case youre reading akai) has disk streaming…the last beta I saw, which was one of the first, this was mainly for recorded audio though you could direct large loops to be streamed from disk as well…that may have changed since then but even as it was it worked well.
Theyd also seemed to have streamlined the keygroups and they used up far less ram, not sure if it was utilizing some of the disk streaming too
Id imagine this will all be coming to the MPCs at sone point once they’ve ironed out the wrinkles

Nothing about the linear arranger for MPC? Or an actual FM synth? As much as I'm happy about new plugins, I don't really have much use for flutes & violins, whereas a good FM "fart" and "screech" is what my music thrives on

Disk streaming seems to be the number one request. If they add that (together with the new probability and random stuff) they may turn a few OT user heads....
One thing is for sure, the MPC One is even better value now

I can see they have finally added Portamento with legato feature to the keygroup, but is it possible to play the keygroups legato without retriggering the envelopes and the samples? The overview videos don't show that.

I see you can also save and load your own FX racks now- nice given how many new fx there are!
Pitch envelope seems pretty cool.
Full detailed release notes are here: https://www.akaipro.com/amfile/file/dow ... duct/9017/
Key detection- why don't all DAWS do this!!!
After loading a new audio file, MPC will now automatically calculate the key of a sample.
Load an audio file that contains melodic content, on the GUI / TUI the Sample edit, Key
Field displays the detected key. You can also see the key in the Program Edit > Samples
tab. As you transpose a sample using the Program Edit > Semi field the key will update to
show you the transposed samples key.
PS -GRAIN (the granulator) is amazing! Haven't played with much else!

Great update! I hope Force gets it soon too.
But anyone know anything about the disk streaming feature that was rumored to be in the works?
