Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Spotify found this one for me.

I have to say, Spotify is working for me. Their AI has figured out some thing things about my tastes that wouldn't show up via random searching. My most recent playlist includes this track, a new track from Jerome Baker, and some Bach fugues. that's pretty good TBH. At any rate, I didn't know who these guys were, so, someone else's words in case you don't hit play on every video in this thread and you're curious.

https://rawselectmusicsean.wordpress.co ... ld-pocket/One of my favorite projects from last five years or so was the genre-smashing dream team collaboration between saxophonist Sam Gendel and bassist Sam Wilkes and their project, Music For Saxofone & Bass Guitar. Blending the sounds of jazz, new age, ambient, electronic music, and hip-hop together, the duo created a sound like no other. So to hear that the boys got back together again to create Music For Saxfone & Bass Guitar More Songs, I naturally got super giddy. And as expect, the single “Cold Pocket”, doesn’t disappoint. Taking things in a more house-y direction this time, the song has some pretty steady, chugging back beat and bass to hold down the rhythm while some Gendel lays down some pretty alien sax that could easily be mistaken for some kind of synth. It’s weird, strange, and exactly up my alley. Here’s hoping this get a vinyl release sooner than later.
Sam Gendel and Sam Wilkes’s Music For Saxofone & Bass Guitar More Songs is out now digitally on Leaving Records!
