Hi everyone,

Browsing the Summer sales, I have come across two Kontakt libraries that deliver an elegant solution to something I have tried to accomplish: a more natural manual strum/retrigger for acoustic/hybrid instruments:

#1: Wavesfactory Guzheng: one of the keyswitches allows for a note repeat on release, making tremolo picking near effortless.

#2: Rawbit Maple Mandolin: here's where things get even more interesting: you can hold any note or chord with your right hand and restroke them repeatedly with the keyswitches - the velocity follows along how hard you hit the keyswitch, while in solution #1 I assume it's either fixed or basically rebounds the one from note on.

What I'm wondering is: is there a dedicated MIDI VST that can replicate those scripted solutions in a generic VST chain? Better yet, one that can also be used to manually arpeggiate between the held notes same as what AAS Strum can do?

The closest alternative I have found is mapping a bunch of keyswitches to a single note or chord in WA Instachord; while I'm overall satisfied with this workaround, especially since I have finally found some use to a plugin I can't usually fit in my workflow, I'd rather go with a more flexible solution, since Instachord does not allow me to dial in an arbitrary chord with one hand, only to set it up in advance in one of the available slots.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions,

RipChord has options for strum timing, as does Chordz/CordIt by CodeFN42 (also allows custom ordering).
