just curious how people hear their gear. good to see active monitors topping the list. that is possibly the best possible choice. laptop spreakers coming in 3rd is alarming, but used just for referencing seem practical. :) I do that too sometimes. :)

Sharing an apartment with my spouse, I'm forced to compromise. It's all about noise isolation and not upsetting the neighbors. Eris 3.5 during the daytime if I'm alone at home. Otherwise Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro which do a decent job of isolating against noise from my SO in adjacent rooms.
I also have a pair of Etymotic ER4XR's that I use occasionally as nothing beats them for noise isolation.

what is the frequency range on that, and did you have to treat your room much?

That sounds like an a-peel-ing option. Just don’t listen too “hot”- you don’t want to “fry” your ears :hihi:

That's a waste of time. I just read his comments on whether he liked the instrument or not.

The accurate answer is a pair of ATCs (non-BT) that I bought 11 years ago. :)

The same monitors I've used the last twenty years; NHT Pro A-10

That's an interesting question. I wondered some times now what people use to listen to their analog hardware synths.

Active nearfield monitors here (JBL LSR305).

A pair of Mackie HR624’s I’ve had for about 15 years in a treated room
I wonder what happens if I press this button...
