My favorite interfaces are actually Logic Pro's new redesigns...reasonably flat and simple. Followed by Valhalla, I like flat vector stuff that can be resized easily!

While the "old unit sitting in a dusty rack" look is cool at first, I find some of PA's plugins a bit sketchy to use (the knobs on Lindell 80 for example). End of the day what matters most is how easy is it to use, and see where the values are without squinting. Same for a lot of the synth plugins. Caveat: I'm sure looking like the hardware is very handy for people that have spent a lot of time with the hardware gear.

This doesn't look exciting but it does look very easy to use.

How does this look "easy to use" ? :?

T2 093021-3.png
T2 093021-1.png
T2 093021-2.png

I can barely read it let alone use it.... :o

Like I said style is one thing but quality is another. Since I grew up using hardware I like hardware style GUIs. They're comfortable and easy to use for me. I can't stand flat GUIs. But that just shows how different personal preferences can be.

I could put up with a non-hardware GUI for a plugin I really like but it's got to at least be readable.

not nearly as bad here.

But the "momentum" thing on the knobs is really distracting. it just doesn't feel natural.

What resolution are you running and what GUI size?

Here at 1920x1080 and the small or large size it's really fuzzy as shown above.

I see what you're saying about the momentum. I don't like it....

yeah momentum is stupid
i'm running exactly double as you are (4096x2160), scaled to look like 1920x1080, GUI size "normal" @100%. But resizing doesn't work well here. Some sizes simply won't budge, and "normal" takes up my whole screen. Resizing is like trying to find a light switch in the dark, it works a bit, then it doesn't.

Who's idea was to make text gray or even worst grey! :(
(who changed the spelling any way?)]
Gray on white or black is a bad idea.
Ok, I get it, it is artistic license.
One must be able to read the text.
Now that's important!

I think the GUI will not allow resize beyond the range of your monitor. I tried large and huge but no change.

I've tried all the different scaling values but it doesn't seem to improve the quality.

This is just my test system but all the other plugin GUIs I've tried look just fine.

The new FB7999 plugin looks crystal clear and gorgeous even when made the same size as Tantra 2.

I personally like the momentum. I can tweak dials without having to be so focused on them when performing them live. I didn't at first, but after awhile they grew on me.

looks like they f**ked up scaling and used too thin fonts (or forgot to switch font render to bold for non-hidpi screen)

if i switch to low-dpi it becomes less good. but not as crap as yours.
(i have 4096x2304 actually, not 2160)

Yeah not a fan of the GUI either, or those delayed mouse/knob control. Thats defiantly by design and not a GUI bug. Still theink Dimirt is asuper guy, just not a fan of Tantra 2.
also- That reverb sounds pretty dang good though. Overall maybe he changed the DSP too.
It defiantly sounds crisper is the word i would use

oh damn, not quite the release I was hoping for, been so hyped for this all year

The inclusion of random looks nice, I cant audition it for ages now though so I will likely wait for a sale - at least it still sounds really good, not sure what distortion i was listening to on the videos but that part sounds good. But why not more modules?

That GUI is not good at all. I can't see me going V2 unless its improved or skinnable.

My monitor is the 30" cinematic HD, 2560x1600. The GUI is hardly ideal but it looks better than the screenshots above. It's definitely sharper, but the contrast is really lacking, same as yours.
