Guitarists & Midi Footcontrollers

Hi All,
Probably a bit niche but I’m after some opinions/experiences on MIDI Footcontrollers when playing guitar into a DAW.
I’d be using it in Ableton (Looper) and looper plugins like Audio Damage’s Enzo
And also in Bias FX for switching pedals in/out
So I’m guessing I need easily programmable midi settings for a couple of ‘profiles’
There’s a Behringer foot controller which crops up a lot but looks like overkill & also huuuuuuuuge so something more compact would be nice.
Thanks

I use both the above, I’d recommend trawling places like Reverb, Gumtree and eBay for second hand FBV Express units, sometimes they pop up at around £50.
You can also get their bigger brothers cheap too.
Edit: Here’s one…

Thanks for that. I’d thought I’d have ended up with the Blackstar Live Logic but that price is great - not considered second hand with me not really know what to go for but thanks to all for the recommendations- the expression pedal is a huge plusWatchTheGuitar wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 6:28 pm I use both the above, I’d recommend trawling places like Reverb, Gumtree and eBay for second hand FBV Express units, sometimes they pop up at around £50.

Another trick that's worth knowing if you have a MIDI keyboard with an expression input this tends to go on CC number 11 so you can use that CC to trigger whatever you want in your guitar software such as a Wah or Volume and there are perfectly usable cheap expression pedals around. I bought a M-Audio EX-P for about £15 and they're even cheaper on Amazon at the moment. I wouldn't want to gig with it, but fine for light home use.(blacklight) wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 6:49 pmThanks for that. It has a guitar style jack plug on the end so you need something to plug into. USB ones are available but tend to be comparatively expensive.

Keith McMillen SoftStep 2, works great and is incredibly flexible.
