Nice to see a rep from Moog here on KVR offering support. Welcome! As a longtime PC user thinking about jumping to an ARM Mac next year, the news of Moog plugins outside of iOS is awesome. I really like the Model D iPad app. Would be even better if they were cross platform (Windows, where my desktop PC remains) and available as VSTi but I'm sure that's not news to you. ;)

I do not doubt you are right with your observation. But then it is silly behaviour of Mac app store. I do not want to try that at the risk of being charged again.
Hi FotoxBr, the App Store can indeed be confusing in how it presents the download option across platforms. You can check if you own the Model 15 app with that Apple ID on iOS and then the flow below will get you to a free download. We've reported this to Apple and hope that this can be improved.
Thanks for confirming this. I will try "buying".

Model 15 macOS is our first venture into software synthesizers that run on desktop and laptop computers. We're a small employee-owned company with a small development team, so we're going into this one step at a time. We know that there's a strong demand for Windows versions of our iOS offerings and will continue to evaluate the feasibility of making that happen.

I tried now to copy an ES2 instance with Model 15 as Audio FX and again one instance was fine but as soon as I copied it and triggered a note I got a giant burst. Good that I had a limiter on it or my speakers would be damaged now maybe. I got even an infinity +db sign where I happily had the limiter active.
So I haven't bothered to update to Big Sur yet but I do want to give you personally a thank you for this reminder to always have a limiter on the master when I'm fooling around. I've been burned by this before with another synth (no damage thankfully) and with my older computer I had a template in Logic with one on the bus, and I need to set that up again.

Thanks for the heads up. :)
Plugins and a DAW. On an operating system. Which runs on a computer.

Now I have Big Sur this is working brilliantly - the plugin only seems to load in Logic though as far as I can see.

Moog released a wrapper to allow it to load in other DAWs:

That is great news. Does the wrapper also work for other au plugins?

Great will try - I guess even though Studio One supports AU it doesn't support AU3?

No, it's just for Model 15.

Yeah, that's it. Was the same with Live 10 here.

I hope they port the Model D app as well, still my favourite Minimoog emulation.
Please Moog, consider it.
