I have some new RFM modules in the store that I wanted to point you to:
ELEKTRAX is a simple but flexible 4 track 'drum-module'
You have 4 synchronous tracks of 16- steps with a dedicated voice (for kick, snare etc) to play with...
Each track's voice has Pitch, Wave (sin to saw), Decay, Bend, Bend time, Noise, Level and Pan setting.
https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/rfm-elektrax
REVERB is a 2 channel reverb module,
each with room and spring reverb with settings for Decay, Mix, Feedback and Cross that can all be modulated

sharing, the latest chapter of the Greate Dreamscape Project, conceived by MLC Vanamsterdam:
Hello World,
This is Dreamscape Chapter Four: "Intergalactic Explorations". Just like all other chapters of Dreamscape all sounds used in this project are created using Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular only. The composition and mixing has been done using FL Studio.
Some figures of Dreamscape Chapter Four:
- mixer channels: 80
- amount of stems used: 163
- total playtime: 14:29
- total time spend on the composition and mixing (FL Studio time only): 18 hours and 41 minutes
All sounds are made by various artists from around the globe. The artists that contributed for chapter four are: MLC Vanamsterdam, Radu Sover, Hans Holema, Luc van de Sande, Sam Nelson and Robert Buddon.
The guidelines for chapter four were: Theme: "Intergalactic Explorations", BPM: 104, Scale: A Mixolydian SCALE (A = Root | A B C# D E F# G) and Genre: No-limitations.
We have reached the goal of one hour exactly. So, sadly, chapter four is the final chapter. This was what I was aiming for, one hour of seamless music made with Voltage Modular. It was a great journey and a great experience working with different people. If it wasn't for the voltage modular user group on facebook - I wouldn't have been able to pull this off. This is one example of the power that social media can have.
This project was very challenging. In the end I spend 92+ hours on mixing and arranging all chapters. It was worth the effort and I am very proud of what we all have achieved.
Thanks to all contributers, the community of Voltage Modular and Cherry Audio for their support.

(which in sale is most of times the same price as core full (non-upgrade).... as core-upgrade, but i can be mistaken, if the core upgrade also goes down in sale, last time it was the same price.. in sale)
EDIT: of course can also be done via Cherry Audio....

indeed, a discount is mostly automatically applied, but GROUP or FORUM can give an extra discount, that is why i linked to jrrshop...zzz00m wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 9:43 amThe upgrade to VM Core at JRR is $41.16 with discount code "GROUP" applied in the cart.WasteLand wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 6:53 amyep

There is no automatic discount for this title at JRR. You have to enter the code manually, and then click "apply" to see the price drop.WasteLand wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 10:17 amindeed, a discount is mostly automatically applied, but GROUP or FORUM can give an extra discount, that is why i linked to jrrshop...zzz00m wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 9:43 amThe upgrade to VM Core at JRR is $41.16 with discount code "GROUP" applied in the cart.WasteLand wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 6:53 amyep

so you are right, always try GROUP or FORUM, and see what is the best price.

I've noticed that the starting VCV and Reaktor oscillator and filter modules both have FM inputs controlled by CV.
Whereas the starting Cherry oscillator and filters don't have that. And actually I've not found anything in the shop that resembles that style of FM modulation between oscillators and filters.
Is there a way to get the result I want easily or cheaply within Voltage Modular? Or is the basic architecture just not set up with that particular signal flow in mind?

You sure get it from the basic oscillatorzoidkirb wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 12:44 pm I've noticed that the starting VCV and Reaktor oscillator and filter modules both have FM inputs controlled by CV.

It's the jack input and knob in the "FREQ MOD" part, on the top of the module.

Similar thing for the basic filter module, which has 2 separate inputs for frequency modulation.

I'd actually been using that input with the pitch bend hah.
Edit: After playing with this and not finding the sound I was really after, I've realised what I actually wanted all along was phase modulation!
Now to find some good modules with PM.
The RFM 2VCO and Vult Noxious sound nice so far.

In any case, by using sine-waves, comparable osc frequencies and comparable FM amounts, I'm getting somewhat similar FM timbres between VCV and Voltage.
But I have the VCV Oscillator is set to "DIGI" and the Cherry Oscillator in "EXP" FM mode.
The Cherry oscillator ends up being a bit more difficult for exploring FM timbres because it has limited frequency ranges octave-by-octave and the -7/+7 semitone knob, compared to the VCV oscillator which has a single frequency knob which can easily sweep from 20 Hz to 6 kHz.

The (Poly) FM Station and EG Station modules are worth looking at if you’re playing with FM.
Have to say though that Bogaudio’s FM-OP in VCV is still my go to FM source or was before I got a Digitone.
