I was pretty negative about 4.1 initially, but it turns out to be an awesome update! :phones:
When 4.2 is announced and still won't have the features that you wished for, just take a deep breath, relax and trust the Wig.

I'm exploring making melodies from the output of the Note Repeats device. Random pitches constrained to a key is easy, but making a specific, non-random melodic pattern is not as easy. Here I added a Note Transform device after the Note Repeats and used a ParSeq-8 modulator to adjust semitones per step. (Steps modulator could use snapping to 12 vertical steps for semitones). I dropped in a simple looping drum pattern for a bit of a foundation. This is 2 held notes going to 1 Note Repeats device.

Very nice! I'd probably use Steps if I wanted random but repeatable. I might do just that.

Steps doesn't work well cause you cannot set it to specific semitone values. For example, 3 semitones up is 37.5 but Steps only goes by integers.

I sent in a feature request for Steps to snap to a 12/24 step vertical grid.

My above example is entirely repeatable... no randomness on note pitch, just timbre and velocity.

If you'll modulate Note Transpose with it it will snap to semitones just fine I believe. In my patch - that you probably saw the video of - I'm using Random modulators which obviously don't snap and it works just fine.

Good to know... thanks!
