Mid-side process problem.

How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

I've been struggling with the mid-side process. Someone recommended a Youtube video and I gave it a shot.

The thing is that the mid issue was solved and the stereo field has been gone after that. This is pain in the ass. How could you solve it?

Mid is basically mono. Not sure that's the best eq for that.
I think you would have more luck with the eekjuliza which has mid side and is similar in quality to that specific eq. I find either a bit rough though.

Where you'd notice issues in My opinion is in the implementation of side, which, if hybrid would also include a haas like effect and a hp. But that would require 4 states technically.

good luck.

Once you apply it, you will find it.

I presume the problem is that a mono compatible mix turns out to be a true mono mix.

Ahh. I'd say mix first in mono for rough gain & eq - then in stereo you'll already know some elements are "less" in mono. There are various ways to solve these.

If your stereo elements go down more than half of what you hear them on stereo, then I'd up their volume etc. etc. Theres no simple answer as all the mixes are different.
