Lovely synths but difficult to grasp: Sugar Bytes Aparillo and Obscurium, latter one really deserves its name.
Amaranth Audio Cycle, intriguing and good sounding synth. Is it gone?
Dawsome Abyss is not really that complicated, the coloured blobs are just a 3D representation of the resemblances of the included oscillator sounds. Principle Component analysis is probably used here to sort the oscillator presets. Bit like XLN XO separates all the one shots in groups like snare, bass etc. The spectral engine lets you morph through these oscillator settings, hence this coloured photoshop-like bar.

Can I please rephrase "strange" into "interestingly different".
I look into technology like "is there something new in it, like a new concept, a technique... or is it just an iteration of something I know"
"Spiral Generator" stuff which is steeming from Oscilloscope Music by Jerobeam Fenderson... https://www.soundemote.com/plugins/spiral-generator and https://oscilloscopemusic.com/watch.php
Seismic ... omg, it seems gone!? The website is no longer available? Here's a review https://rekkerd.org/seismic-free-modula ... -released/
Noisetar https://nusofting.com/plugins/noisetar-freeware-synth/

Damn it! Now I've also bought Obscurium although I intended to boycott Sugar Bytes because of their lack of high resolution GUIs... thanks for that!

aparillo is (was) great, it's a plugin i showed most to others (especially non-musicmaking ppl). didn't use it a lot, but appreciate it for just what it is...

Thanks for all the interesting suggestions! I've had my eye on Aparillo for awhile, and then yesterday I stumbled across Waverazor, which really appealed to me. It made me wonder what other oddities are out there to explore. Will check these out.
