Melda's modal filter misses one on the most important things , which is a damping factor and decay per partial .
This isn't true. You can adjust the resonance for each partial.

And can you individually adjust the decay time per partial ?
Afaik this was not possible in previous versions , can you show on the gui where it does that ?

It's new in V15. Should be easy to find in the modal filter where you edit the harmonics.

Check out my reaktor ensemble ' modal 32 ' which uses the modal bank...
Tried it. Nice sound quality! Any tips for patching chromatic percussion?

I second using FM for chromatic percussion. Dexed, OPS7, Bazille, Zebra, Surge, anything that can do at least 2 carriers each with their own modulator with digital (read: in tune) phase modulation on sine waves or other simple waves will get you there imo. Use two operators to do your attack/strike and a separate two to do your sustained tone and you're there.

This feature was added recently. Just turn down the module resonance to 0% and then adjust the individual partial resonance to whatever you want. Its down with the harmonics' volume, stereo, etc. It should be easy to find.

...Plasmonic...
Heard some nice chromatic percussion in a demo of this beauty. Will probably buy it.

Als bought Frame Drums of AudioThing and Imagine of Expressive E. It's got reason for existence next to Chromaphone.
