As some of you know I generally run a group buy with a thread in this forum, the last one saw a couple of false starts and then ground to a halt due to a heart attack. I've had a crazy couple of years with a lot of stuff flung at me but I'm getting back on track now. So here we go again!

I finished Divider last week for level 6 which has now been unlocked, so for any newcomers you instantly get the 4 Wavetable synths, and the 1000 wavetables that have already been unlocked as well as the freshly unlocked MIDI Euclidean Sequencer.

The Group Buy costs $24.99 to join and is located HERE

This image always shows how many people have joined:

    -----------------------------------------------------

I have changed the levels a bit, I replaced the Midi Delay because I just can't really remember what I had planned for it and there is a Midi delay script that comes with Kontakt already. Things are always subject to change though and depending on how things go with members I may add something else at the end.

It's a big thing for me to come back to this and hope this time I manage to get through to the end of it!

There are also 2 products that when purchased will add to the member count, Fractionate is a MIDI Sequencing system and MIDI Mod is based on LFOs manipulating control changes.

As with all the group buys run by Homegrown Sounds, this represents phenomenal value for money. If you haven't joined yet then I highly recommend that you have a look and join if at all interested. The developer puts a huge amount of effort into the group buys (and all the products) and has had a tough time over the last couple of years. So, any support here would be well deserved and I'm sure would be much appreciated.
No affiliation here just a very satisfied customer wanting to share the joys of these wonderful instruments and tools with his fellow KVR members.

Glad to see you back and on the mend. What we got so far in the Group Buy was well worth the entry fee. That we will get even more is a happy surprise.

Thanks! Hopefully it will tick along I’m starting work on the next level tomorrow. This has to be the longest running group buy in history! It’s great experimenting the the Euclidean Sequencing, I’ve got some good ideas to explore with the drum sequencing considering most of the keyboard keys are available for various kinds of trigger/effects etc…

I’ve just released a Divider update which adds a MIDI Recorder and fixes a couple of issues with the column Randomizers.

Thanks!

I think I’ve more or less finished Level 7’s MIDI Drum Machine now, it’s called Formula, features 12 group triggers that any of the 12 sequences can be assigned to, 12 Performance Triggers for affecting timing etc… 12 Patterns, Kits with note numbers and labels per pattern. It’s quite a beast and has been a ton of work. I think I’ve squashed all the bugs. The triggers can be assigned per sequence to decide whether they are affected or not.

I’ve made a quick video, although I’m using a bunch of samples in Kontakt rather than an external instrument. I’m really not sure what I own in terms of drum machines with plenty of sample slots. I’ll have a look tomorrow, I can install battery I suppose which I think has large kits. So a better video will hopefully be coming.

Just 12 people needed to get to level 7.

My computer finally died last month and I had to buy a "new" (or rather refurbished) Mac. Quite unsettling to be without internet for a while and to have so much software to reauthorize and get working again on the new machine.

But the good news is that this new machine can install OSX as far up as Mojave (though I think I am planning to stick with High Sierra which still has cover flow).

This means that I can finally install Kontakt 6 and get to enjoying some of these instruments soon. I'm glad that the Group Buy is still going because I was a lot less motivated to jump in earlier when I couldn't actually play with any of them. But I will be joining asap, once I have my system migrated to the new drive.

Very nice that we still have you around Andy.

Things were looking pretty bleak there for a while.

Thanks Zedd :) Glad to hear you are getting a new machine, yeah Mac's are annoying like that, the one I have is a Macbook stuck on High Sierra. Ironically it runs the latest version of windows 10 with no issues so that's what I use on it. Yeah it's been a bleak 2 years, I'm not sure what I've done to deserve so much slung at me but I'm hoping it's all left behind in 2021!

Getting this group buy finished is a big deal for me, because it's me finally getting back to where I was health wise and technologically when I had the heart attack. I've had to work ridiculously hard just to get back to this point, so finally I feel like I'm moving forward again instead of catching up.

There isn't really much enthusiasm for the Group Buy, which I pretty much expected, but I'm determined to see it through rather than letting go of it. It's actually been really enjoyable working on all the MIDI instruments.

-----------------------------------------------------

Oh I forgot about the 48 hour rule, so I'll have to add this to the bottom of here:

Just 1 more needed for level 7. I've just released MIDI Mod a Control Change manipulator with programmable interpolated LFOs, buying either that or Fractionate will increase the Member count.
https://youtu.be/KqAHRFGaaTc

-----------------------------------------------------

Divider has been updated to v1.03
  • Improved Randomize profile for Division parameter, now the minimum and maximum are percentages of the selected step size which is much better.
  • Changed name of BPM parameter to clock which makes more sense.
  • Improved Recorder GUI and removed Multi channel information as it wasn’t relevant.
-----------------------------------------------------

Here's another video of Formula Level 7's instrument controlling NI Battery (Just 1 more needed!)
https://youtu.be/1rVXBVzS1ic

-----------------------------------------------------

Fractionate has also been updated with a new Modulation system, although not part of the group buy, buying it will add to the membership number to help it along.
