the "not aphex type beats" suited the track here, so i would not suggest any beefing up the kick :hihi:
:D thanks for listening, vurt. glad you liked it. yeah this time no aphex type beats. need a break from that. next track will be an "somehow" old-school jungle track - then the beat will be a beat more "furious". i got an idea...

i guess, doing music as work, can take the joy out of it for fun [...]
yes... that is quite right. at least for me. if i am practising, preparing all the classical pieces for my instrument or the choir - music needs so much space of my life - and then it is just "work", just the "job". so it can take the joy out... (once i didn't touch my synths for over 4 years).

It's dark-ish, but not too much. I liked the sounds used and the melodies, which did lighten in places. I though this would be a good piece for use with the opening credits in a vampire/zombie TV series.

Good work :)
thanks seismic for listening, thanks for the kind word.

unfortunately im not into vampire/zombies
except resident evil games... oh man so good :D

"obtuse angles ...": The theme is evidently played by a saw wave and
repeated a few times in the first half. I like the dark, almost apocalyptic
character of this little instrumental. :tu:

Symphonic and epic. Hans Zimmer on acid would describe it best. :borg: :borg:   :x  :o :scared:

I like it the way it is but there is a part of me that thinks this could be remixed into a super bad ass trap tune.

String sounds are pretty lush in this.

Nice work! You also got yourself a new SC follower :tu:

althought a lot of my classical musician collegues don't like Hans Zimmer (they say he is overrated) - you can compare me everytime with him :) even on acid :)   :D

thanks for your time and that you listend to my track.

The track could hold some more aggressive mastering level, a boost in loudness. This would make it even more engaging. Otherwise, nice work!

Not really sure of any particular artist but i found some sound examples on youtube.

Doesn't really have to have rapper, i think the beats can work on their own.

thanks a lot for the recommendation. but tbh... that's really not my genre. i think i am way more conservative and oldschool. what comes a little near to your recommendation is this:

yeah your absolutely right. i did everything manually with two limiters (included in Reason) and youlean loudness metre 2 (free) - and i made a mistake (recognized it afterwards) normally i try to target -14lufs, but one limiter wasn't set to the right settings (you can't save patches in the device and everytime you need to check if everything is right :) )

Since I don't really publish my tracks either (on a label or something), it wasn't that important to me in retrospect. I once (no, strictly twice), sent something as a demo (in adolescent recklessness) ... I don't do that anymore :D
