It took a while but I think this song is done. Aika Zabala steals the show with her harmonies as usual.

Any feedback is appreciated. The lyrics are on Soundcloud and in the video. Thanks for listening.

I seem honored to be the first to hear "Medicine" on KVR. At least to comment.

It is probably about the typical conversation between doctor and patient,
although the two do not quite agree. At second glance you notice that there
is more:
Strange dreams keep me up all day
Creatures crawling up the walls
Something unusual comes in here, it becomes almost magical. For me it is a
nice confrontation between the superficially good facade and the struggle
below.

The song is nice and easy and groovy, and the vocals - well combined - fit
wonderfully. It is obvious that a lot of work has gone into making good
use of your voice and that of Aika Zabala. "Medicine" has a Catchy tune,
and the text line at the very end "Everything is fine until it isn't", which
is then faded out, also remains. :D

Overall: A nice song, I enjoyed it a lot. :tu:

mix sounds nice and light. for me the text clashes a bit with the music. the music, is easy and groovy - but the text isn't as light and bright. but i think that was intended. :)
it is better to have a track with some mistakes than a track without any soul
myself in 2022

My first impression was like an easy going, light pop tune. But contrasted by the lyrics, which form a counterpart. Nice work!

the voices sound amazing together, very comfortable melodic groove thats easy to slip into

Yes, I had some health challenges this year (that are mostly resolved). But instead of singing about my MRIs, I decided to address the psychic toll it took on me in an abstract way. Hence the strange lyrics.

Yes, I put a lot of work into this one. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the vocals and the song in general. :)

Another Fragile Gods! Me excited...
I like the song. Typical Fragile Gods style! Very well made.
May I suggest one thing - It would be reviewing the vocals mixing for instance from 2:08 ... I can't exactly put it into words and tell what it is, but there seems to be some kind of "effect" that makes the voclas a bit ... I don't know ... washy (is that even a word?). May be it's due to some interaction with the backing vocals. But as I said, it's hard to tell what it's exactly is...it could be my ears as well. So let's see if others say the same...

Great job , as always. Vocals were good and married with yours well.
Aika reminded me of Melanie Martinez a little on this one.
One minor thing for me: the lead melody at 2:15 could be a stronger sound, and the bell sound with it, better too.
"Everything's fine until it isn't" - nice one.

One of the few treats I look forward to here, when you release a new track. As usual it doesn't disappoint. Easily one of the top 5 artists at KVR.

Curious. How long did it take you to do this one from start to finish. If you told me a month, I'd believe it because it shows.

Perfect production and there isn't much to say. Something that should play on the radio, only if radio wasn't accupied by marketing specialists who turn art and music into a product for the most undemanding consumers.

I think this song perfectly describes post-covid syndrome. I heard that it could mangle with our brains and cause mental instability. "Everything is fine until it isn't" I can totally relate to that. Feeling stress and depression with no logical reason, having nightmares and dark obsessive thoughts all the time. Crazy stuff, indeed.

Although it wasn't premeditated, I happen to like the contrast between the text and music. My tastes can be a little eccentric I guess. Thanks for your comments. :)

Aika's multiple harmony vocals are going through multiple effects (chorus, delays, reverb) which are blended with the original mellotron choral guide parts which I left in. Which are also blended with my vox. So I was going for a wash of sound rather than clarity here. I think your observation is correct but it was sort of what I intended.

Thanks for your feedback. :)
