I feel like they’ve made huge strides since the mid 2000s. There’s still some UX stuff that bugs me in Diva, Uhbik and Zebra, but do you really think they’re ugly?

Oh yeah, forgot about that one. I don’t even use it for that reason. It’s one thing I hate the most: choosing clever over clear.

When I was putting the U-He plugins on my new machine, I realized that even though I had an email from them for the serial number of MFM2 it didn’t show when I requested my license info. I contacted support and they were so nice to take care of it for me and also let me know that I love U-He plugins so much that I purchased Colour Copy twice. I immediately sold my redundant license and used the proceeds to buy ACE, so I’d have the complete U-He collection.EnGee wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 10:35 pm I hate their kindness! It makes me feel guilty! I bought their synths and sold them several times and they still super friendly with me! Maybe they know me better than I do, thinking "He's coming back soon"!
Although I have only Bazille and ACE now, but I miss Diva, RePro and Zebra. They are classic synths IMO. You buy them and (it is better) to keep them, or you would buy them again!
The only synth that I didn't like is Hive. I tried to like it, but it is just not very inspiring to me like a beautiful woman but not attractive or nothing special about her!

If you rearrange "ben t hink urs" you get "burn the sink", which I'm pretty sure is come weird Maine colloquialism.
"hey ben, it's grud, your housemate from university"
like "hey ben, it's grud" wasn't enough???
errr narrow it down i know loads of gruds...

I hope you've given Zebralette a try at least! You can't beat it for the low price of free! It is quirky but makes some jaw-busting (that's right) sounds and is loads of fun. On paper, "one oscillator" sounds like at least one too few, but then wait, that "one" oscillator module does a detuned stack 11 waveforms deep? blistering sync sounds? wavetable morphing? who even needs an LPF? (I do - TAL's "TAL-Filter-2" is a good pairing.) Dozens or maybe hundreds of wavetables and presets out there for it, I have only scratched the surfce, but it's been a multi-segment maelstrom of a distraction while i saved my pennies for a real pony, oops i mean Zebra Tooth! And with Hoverland's "Console D" Zebrallete skin, I could still show up in style all the while. Oh wait, I am supposed to grouse... Okay, it cheeves me off that I had to go buy the Neumann Zebra2 skin to get a piano roll for the sequencer interface. C"mon U-He, didn't you guys ever take piano roll lessons as a kid?!?

Here are a few things I think think of that could be improved a bit, though I of course don’t dislike using U-He synths.
Zebra’s method of creating and assigning modulation seems messy. I think it should just be a click-assign on the source knob with a ring indicator to show/adjust the amount of modulation, and of course show up in the mod matrix as well.
Zebra’s wavetable implementation is really weird. I’m not sure why loading up a new wavetable would change other aspects of the patch.
Zebra 3 is still on the horizon. I really hope that when it lands it incorporates Diva’s filters in a way that’s consistent with the other filters and I hope the wavetable section is a lot more like Hive’s.
Diva’s modifier page is confusing and not really intuitive to keep track of. Again, a right-click-assign and knob ring could get rid of that entire pane.
Diva could use an “Ultra Devine” mode where the quality of audio rate modulation is improved.
Diva could use a third LFO and EG.
All their instrument plugins should be MPE compatible.
That’s all I can think of at the moment. They’re all spectacular plugins, really. I’m mostly nit-picking.

I think they have the best support out there! I mean at least among the ones that I've experienced. Bitwig and Ableton are from the best as well.
