How much cost upgrade from Punch to Punch2? Can't find on the website.

I do all synthetic kicks in Vital and Pigment 3, because it just no different from any dedicated drum synth. But if a percussion library is important, then, of course, a dedicated synth is needed. Punch is a good choice. Another would be d16 PunchBox (it's lighter, but still effective. However, there is no noise oscillator).

I always loved https://www.kvraudio.com/product/bong-by-xoxos too but it is not supported anymore.
Yeah. Me too. But you can kind of use the auto later machine to make grooves full of all kinds of shuffle and swing.

Atlas 2 hands down. Choose your map pool for a certain vibe (say all your MPC60 samples), click on create drum kit and listen to new drum kits, some of which will sound amazing. Love it. While I wasn’t so much a fan of Atlas 1, Atlas 2 is really inspiring, also love the sequencer.

Ableton drum racks/simpler are also very versatile.

My old go-to was Xfer Nerve which is still great but I feel needs an update.

Yeah that's a great feature in Atlas 2! After talking with the developer I know some great features are on the way too! :)

You already use Abletons Drumrack. I swear every VST synth ever made comes with drum sounds in the library. Drop the VST on the Drumrack pad. Use those sounds. Then use the synth to make your own. You can have a different VST per pad as well as it's own FX chain.

Taming a bit the amazing imbued cyberpunk "bit-crush nature", this demo is what NEMESIS inspired me right off the bat!
As with all UJAM creatures, I am speechless about BM-NEMESIS.

I’ve been a Toontrack user for years. I own SD3 (+SDX’s and EZX’s), BFD3, NI drum libraries and SSD5.5. I also had the original Addictive Drums 1.

I recently picked up AD2 on here as I was interested to check out how the newer version with new ADPaks sound and have to say it has completely exceeded my expectations. The overall sound is way better than I remember and there’s certain sounds I prefer to the various Toontrack SDX’s. Also, the workflow is much quicker and intuitive than SD3. I’ve already found myself replacing SD3 in a couple of tracks and am looking forward to trying more ADPaks and experimenting with those!

Uhh, NI Damage?

Been using Battery 4 for standard club rhythms, and recently discovered iZotope Breaktweaker for cool glicth loops. But don't quite own one-stop instrument that does all the job for me. Still striving to come up with great drum loops.

Been using Reason's Kong, since it have a lot of posibilities of layering and was simple over all. And sometimes beatmap was a great addition when out of ideas for sequencing.

But now with XLN XO, and for real drums Addictive drums 2 im in totally another dimension! Xo is such a great tool. Lacking layering though :/but over all its map works great and its sequencer radomisation is sometimes useful, with all its swing options. Im done when it comes to drums with those 2 plugins, finally great workflow. Wonder how atlas holds up and if it was a good choice going xo direction

RMIV is so confusing, I’m sure it has potential, but omg 😳 confusing

well, not that much potential since it's been discontinued and linplug dissolved

Really like the abbey road collection. Also have getgood drums for the harder stuff. Both give a lot of modification options
