for those who wonder what's new:
Code: Select all
M9.0.18
-------
* MuLab 9 App for Mac.
* Toggling the Project Browser unintendedly closed the main composer modular area. Fixed.
* Envelope curves: Increased accuracy for the Symmetric curve.
* Sometimes the main project window was not resizable. Fixed.
* Improved lasso-select of Live Clips.
* The global Swing was not yet working for the Live Matrix. Fixed.
* When applying both a tempo factor and swing to a sequence part, this could result in an odd timing. Fixed.
* Live Matrix: Copy-Paste parts didn't work. Fixed.
* Other mini improvements.
Code: Select all
---
M9.0.17
-------
* When inserting a module into a plugin slot or changing the preset for such module, the module was unintendedly powered off. Fixed.
* Improved audio + event recording in the various cases of Live Matrix / Time Line, and in both the App and Plugin context.
* The integrated screen movie recorder wasn't recording the audio anymore. Fixed.
* MuLab Plugin: When launching a live clip while timeline was not playing, the live clip was not yet synced to the host when it should. Fixed.
* MuLab Plugin: When previewing MuClips etc, this was not yet synced to the host when it should. Fixed.
* MIDI Input Routing has been finetuned: MuLab App and MuLab Plugin now each have their own MIDI Input Targets setup.
For MuLab App nothing changes practically.
MuLab Plugin will default to routing all incoming MIDI to the Project Event Input, just like in MUX 8 Plugin.
But you can change that, if you want, using the MIDI Input Targets dialog, just like in MuLab App.
This dialog now also has an options button with various functions to quickly set things up.
* MuLab Plugin: When Host Sync is on and Beat Lock is enabled then the Modular Feedback Delay could give bad sound. Fixed.
* When switching presets for the project main MUX, this main MUX is auto reconnected to the main project inputs & outputs if necessary.
* When previewing MuClips etc, there could be ambiguity about the Preview Monitor rack. Fixed.
Note that there can be a Preview Monitor rack on project level, and a Preview Monitor rack for each composer.
That's because previewing eg MuClips is done in the context (ie Tempo etc) of the composer you're currently working with, which can vary if you're using multiple composers.
* MuLab Plugin: Upon starting the host, MuLab's metronome could be out of sync. Fixed.
* When the project main module is a MUX then toggling the project browser auto resizes the project editor window accordingly.
* Tracks: When clicking the track icon/name it was not possible to drag the track up/down. Fixed.
* Finetuned behavior wrt showing / hiding the main module editor within the project window / floating window.
* MuLab Plugin: Improved communication with the host DAW about names and parameters.
* You can now also set the composer tempo using a percentage value. Eg entering "50%" will set the tempo to half the master tempo.
Also: When the composer's tempo is not 100% of its master tempo, the tempo factor is shown in the tool tip.
* Other mini improvements.-

In the Mac version of M9 the top bar of the Mulab window is gone. Is this intended? It makes it impossible to drag the window around.

Yes it's intended, it's for more workspace, you can drag the window either by the name of your project, or right-click on border and drag.wibem1 wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 9:44 am In the Mac version of M9 the top bar of the Mulab window is gone. After launching a clip/scene in the clip launcher the clocks start running and don't stop even when the clip is stopped, is this intended behaviour?

Another issue with M9 on Mac: After I have opened the editor, there is now way to close the editor window and get back to the project window. (At least: I don't find a way.)

On top of the track panel you have a composer <-> editor switch button.wibem1 wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 9:57 am Another issue with M9 on Mac: After I have opened the editor, there is now way to close the editor window and get back to the project window. (At least: I don't find a way.)

Just click the "Switch Composer/Editor" button. It toggles between the two views.wibem1 wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 9:57 am Another issue with M9 on Mac: After I have opened the editor, there is now way to close the editor window and get back to the project window. (At least: I don't find a way.)

Its quite unusual without a top bar and confusing ( for me at least) to find the drag option in the name of the project. Right-click on boarder and drag doesn't work reliable for me. Its very hard to manage it. IMO the top bar doesn't take much workspace.humanboeing wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 9:46 amYes it's intended, it's for more workspace, you can drag the window either by the name of your project, or right-click on border and drag.wibem1 wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 9:44 am In the Mac version of M9 the top bar of the Mulab window is gone.
