You can check the sync info that the host gives to MuLab Plugin by Shift + Right-click on the sync button. It opens a data monitor window where you can see what the host sends to MuLab Plugin.

Brilliant.
I can see that the 'frame position' is always incrementing no matter whether stopped, started or paused.
The 'music position' is always correct (there is a slight discrepancy when paused, but I don't think that is a problem)
It's wierd how pausing Cantabile can sometimes reset the transport correctly in Mulab.

Here's a screen cap

Can you pls make another video that shows the sync issue you're experiencing but with that host info monitor window opened at the same time.

The above video is just that.

The previewer in the M9 plugin sends the output to its own synth (which can be chosen). Is it possible to send the output to the actual rack in the composer?

Post

Just started trying the M9 daw beta, its pretty dope :)

I am however having an issue with a plugin I use regularly T-Racks Softclipper (old style)... its' parameters seem to jump back to previous position if I move them.... recorded a short video
(not able to post it here).. this is happening with more than one T-Racks plugin... at least two so far.

Also, I use Equick for an eq and its parameters do not move when I try to move them.

Tried both on my MacMini w/ El Capitan and my newer macbook.
It also crashes when I close out with 1098 log errors.

No issues with M8 like this fyi

Insert a send (I don't know whether it works)?

A send from what to what?

From the previewer to the rack in the composer, like you've asked to do. Like I say, I don't know if it's possible.

Yes.
Turn off the SMF Player in the Previewer Rack (green button next to the synth) to bypass it, then click on the rack in the Rack Desk with the synth you want.
You can play samples in the timeline, live view and preview at the same time.

Please email the link to the video to MuTools' infodesk.

Please forward that log file to MuTools' infodesk.

Is there a possibility to start the live matrix from the host daw? I want the playback of the matrix to start, when I press play in the host.

Post

Yes by using the Note Action Map and mapping note events to MuLab's Live Scenes / Clips.
Then insert such note events in the DAW and so upon starting the DAW these events will be sent and trigger MuLab's Live Scenes / Clips.

Meanwhile i discovered a M9 specific bug in the VST engine which could cause the issues you described. That bug will be fixed in M9.0.25 which will be available soon. If you would still have VST issues when using M9.0.25 please let me know the details. Thanks.
