Here's a video with the issue in 9.0.25
Thx for the video. Cantabile is doing something wrong: The Frame Position should not continue running in stop mode. It should always reflect the Music Position. Please email the Cantabile devs that they should have a look at the definition and related notes on VstTimeInfo::samplePos in aeffect.h
Brad, the Cantabile dev, is looking into this.
Thanks for spotting the anomaly and clarifaction.

MuLab 9 has moved to public beta stage: https://www.mutools.com/M9.html

Users who purchased a MuLab 8 user key on/after 21 Oct 2020 can already request their Initial MuLab 9 App User Key to have a play with MuLab 9 App beta.

Users who purchased a MUX 8 Plugin user key on/after 21 Oct 2020 can already request their Initial MuLab 9 Plugin User Key to have a play with MuLab 9 Plugin beta.

Two important question...

Since Mulab and MUX fused into one... how are upgrades supposed to be handled at this point? Stay our path (in my case MUX Modular) or will this be simplified and we get access to both in the future? (which would also explain higher upgrade fees)

And considering that there is a shift in plugin development, and a lot of developers will deprecate this. Is there anything on the near horizon regarding VST3 support? I would love to use certain plugins in MUX, but I can't because they're VST3.

They've fused conceptually, but not as products. MuLab 9 App and MuLab 9 Plugin still are 2 separate products just like MuLab 8 and MUX 8 Plugin. So shop-wise everything continues more or less as with M8. Also prices stay the same.

One thing: I'm thinking of adding a "MuLab For Life" product which is MuLab App + MuLab Plugin + all MuLab updates free for life, thus also all main updates like MuLab 10, 11, 12, ...
That would be 199 euro. Users who already have a M8/M9 user key could step up to M4L for a reduced price. (To be worked out). What do you think of the idea?

I'm not sure if i understand this sentence. How do you mean?

I can't yet answer the VST 3 question atm. I'm aware of the situation and will do my best to solve that puzzle after M9.0 release

As a "hobbyist" if the 199euro could be made in monthly payments or something like that I'd like it. But the only thing I'm missing in Mulab 8 is vst 3 support and its not in M9 (yet) so I'd be upgrading just for the sake of upgrading. :? But don't get me wrong, I will upgrade to support Jo's good work :tu:

Personally I plan to buy upgrades as long as the licensing/activation model stay the same (I really don't like forced online authentication for no reason, it shows no trust in customer). I'd definitely like Mulab for life option, question is whether it makes sense from a bussiness point of view.

"Also prices stay the same." :tu:
I am impressed!
I was expecting a price increase.

199 euro = $226
Lifetime all versions. Wow! :tu:
I may just do it.

Will find out soon enough why Mux is now called MuLab Plugin.
Could be that MuLab Plugin has some or most of the Mulab App functionality.

Is there anything new in this beta version in comparison to the 9.0.25?
I exchanged it and now the info shows even 9.0.24.

If you were on M9.0.25 there was no need to change your M9 install. Sounds like you downloaded the M9.0.24 package and continued from there now. Make sure to have updated to the currently newest M9.0.25.

If you're on 7 or pre-free upgrade 8, pricing-wise, there is currently very little between upgrading both app and plugin from the previous version (59E+58E = 117E) and purchasing a new bundle (119E).
Though I guess you could upgrade the plugin (58E) then crossgrade buy a new app license (49E) = 107E
It feels as though a bundle upgrade price is needed?

how do i make Daw to synch with Composer vst in my case Bitwig on Mac . i want composer or Sequence player to start or stop from Bitwig Transport . see pic whats wrong with the way i set it up
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

See the little "Oo" button in the composer toolbar (last but one, before the "*" tool button)? That's the sync to host button (IIRC). Left click for default, right click to pick.

I've just read the M9 doc, which is under construction. You mention in the chapter audio -settings the importance of the audio buffer and that you can change it in the audio core settings. For the Mac it is not possible, if the audiointerface doesn' t have it's own settings configuration software, which is quite often. The audio core driver, which is build into the Mac system, doesn't have a possibility to set the audio buffer. As Mulab also has no setting for the audio buffer, this can lead into some issues ( which I have). The standard audio buffer, which is automatically chosen, is 512 and can't be changed This is too high for recording and to low for a playback of a cpu demanding project on a weak system ( as mine). Perhaps you should mention this issue in the docs.

Yeah, that would be really nice to have. I believe that most interfaces don't have that options since it's per application setting.
