Are there meant to be two copies for the "Audio In 1+2" module by default?
"MIDI In" and "Audio Out 1+2" have the same behaviour - two copies.

yes! this would be really usefuldigaldeman wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 5:40 pm Jo, I think Mulab should allow users to quickly copy all elements in a Scene to the Timeline, by simply dragging the Scene name to the Timeline. Bitwig has that feature, please look at the gif below.
DragSceneNames.gif
Maybe I'm wrong but at the moment, we have to lasso each Sequence in the Scene then drag then to the Timeline. That's difficult when there are no empty slots.

Can you please rephrase your question and make it more clear?Bako wrote: Thu Feb 24, 2022 1:52 am question to Jo ,
at this point i understand its not possible to record audio into Mulasynt/mux vst version not stand alone . will this be added in future updates?
And are you talking about MuLab App or MuLab Plugin?

See the pic Bako posted above - it has the "Audio In 1+2(1)", "Audio In 1+2(2)" and same for outs. The "VST MIDI Input" doesn't show the issue clearly because the text is truncated - there's also a second "VST MIDI Input" scrolled off to the side of the modular area. This is what you get if you insert "MuLab 9 Plugin (Effect)" (so "Basic Effect"). "MuLab 9 Plugin (Synth)" doesn't have the issue (it only has Audio Output 1 and no Audio Input) with the default synth. I don't know which synth module Bako used. I can only get the problem with a new effect (I've not been through all the templates: new effect, new synth, "New->Start" for the composer main).

The composer is a modular module, like MUX.Bako wrote: Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:30 amI'm talking about mulab plugin {vst}. if you look at the picture my question will become clear Jo,mutools wrote: Thu Feb 24, 2022 12:53 pmCan you please rephrase your question and make it more clear?Bako wrote: Thu Feb 24, 2022 1:52 am question to Jo ,

If you want audio inputs for the composer, open that composer's modular area and add the audio input(s).

Ok something must have gone wrong while creating these templates. I'll update these templates for the next zip package. Thx.pljones wrote: Fri Feb 25, 2022 7:26 amSee the pic Bako posted above - it has the "Audio In 1+2(1)", "Audio In 1+2(2)" and same for outs. Yep that works. There's a few workflow issues still with the default composer set up, I feel - recording audio into the composer shouldn't take extra steps, it should just be there (same with sync to host for the composer).mutools wrote: Fri Feb 25, 2022 10:31 am If you want audio inputs for the composer, open that composer's modular area and add the audio input(s).
Anyway, it does work

Set up Reaper:
1. Launch Reaper
2. Add a track
3. Insert a synth
4. Set the MIDI Ins for the Reaper track
5. Arm the Reaper track and turn on Monitor
6. Play your keyboard to make sure you can hear the synth
Next add MuLab:
1. After the synth in the Reaper effects, add MuLab (effect - it's a simpler start)
2. Replace the Basic Effect with Composer in the modular area (or use the "Start" factory template)
3. Open up composer, clean up it's modular area so you've got one each of MIDI and Audio ins and outs
4. Close composer and link its ins and out
5. Switch back to control view
6. Turn on Host Sync
7. Add an audio track
8. Turn on Track Monitor
9. Check that playing your keyboard can still be heard
Now you should be set to record. Sync still seems a bit weird. If the host isn't running, MuLab assumes control. So you need the host timeline running to get sane effects. (Even then I had the timeline jump a couple of times - can't reliably reproduce it now.)
So set the host off recording and then get MuLab recording. Then start playing. Hitting stop in the host should stop MuLab, too.

I have a drag and drop idea: dragging and dropping a module from modular area into rack desk could result in the same behaviour as it is with the browser, i.e. new rack appears and the module is inserted into the 1st slot.
