As I almost participated this month after over a year I thought I could take the time to listen and vote.
Which I did: voted!
A very entertaining quick listening session.
All hail to FB-7999.

I tried to login to vote, but maybe my track is not qualified, because I was not able to login to vote?
Maybe better luck this month, I will be participating with Cherry Audio Surreal OSC!

I can see and listen your soundcloud entry. It is included in the list and on the voting site.Dartelec wrote: Tue Apr 05, 2022 7:55 am Uh oh, for some odd reason Soundcloud link for my submission is not available anymore! Sorry for the hassle, I try better this month.
So I see no reason why you cannot vote.
If you are having trouble logging in to the voting site you can try registering a new account via the voting site login page (This is a separate login from your kvr one) If this does not work please contact bjporter.
Welcome back btw. It's been a long time!

Thanks for the support, Richard! I found the entry also from Soundcloud. Probably there was some hiccup. However I am not able to vote or register new account - it says "email not found". I sent a message to bjporter few days ago, but haven't got a reply yet.

Here's one which is for layering samples but the same techniques apply to synthesized sounds tooYadrichik_Chaya wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 4:45 pm Excellent post! Many thanks!
Any pdf books or maybe video tutorials you can recommend with tips & tricks like the ones you just posted?

VOTED!
Plenty of amazing tracks, really!
Snare, yeah, if you really want to capture all the elements of a "regular" snare, you either must have a capable, complex enough synth or layer. I usually go for the "illusion" of a decent snare and FB-7999 was quite good for that with the Break Point in the envelope, adding a tiny possible hesitation between stick hit, body and snares. I've only used one single instance for mine as I do almost always anyway.
So stupid, because I really wanted to make a tutorial for making drums with this one and recorded it twice, but didn't quite like it and then had no time anymore.
Maybe some other round. Not the next, though, because that is a very, very limited synth for editing (Surrealistic MG-1), but it sounds quite fantastic!

How do people feel about being told their track sounds like such and such? I personally don't mind but I suppose some may not like it. To me it's just interesting to notice similarities. And also potentially a compliment. But some might see it as implying it's unoriginal or worse I guess. I used to never give such comments but I forgot and did a bunch this month.
FYI I haven't voted buts lots of really good enjoyable music still trying to digest. Sometimes it takes me many listens to get something.
