Hosts that support native M1 + VST2.x

Any plugin using JUCE 6 framework with a proper x86 to ARM conversion will run without issues as VST2 Universal 2 Binary (you still need the VST2 distribution license agreement for this).
Steinberg should allow their customers choose what plugin type use instead pushing VST3 so aggressively. Specially when VST2 gives less problems for developers.
As Markus said, there isn't any technical issues for this.

Studio One also supports M1 VST2s.

Bliss standalone can host M1 VST2 by the way.

In the meanwhile it seems that nearly all important hosts provide native M1 support with VST2. The only one that does not do it is Steinberg itself. I am sure their customers will disapprove this and move to competing DAWs when they can not longer use their plugins...
