Reelight Pro
Loc-Ness V2
Loc-Ness V2.5 isn’t native. They say it is but it ain’t.
Yeah the au isn't native but the vst3 is, there must be a problem with the latest installer.

Rast Sound Naturaliser is also native, not specifically mentioned on their site: https://rastsound.com/downloads/naturaliser/

Yeah must be a mistake. They’ve clearly done the work to make it AS native — hopefully the AU will be updated soon.

Have anyone heard any news about NI transition plans to Apple Silicone?
NI and Reasonstudios are the only two remaining non Apple silicone based apps on my M based Mac :( :x

Probably by the time Apple released M10. NI mentioned it was the old code that dragged them down and need more time to adapt but I don't see them updating the newer products like Massive X or Super 8, Guitar Rig 6 or Komplete Kontrol and their standalone effects to Apple Silicon yet.
So I guess don't put your hope up.

The pattern is no different than when Apple went from OS9 to Mac OS X, and when they went from PPC to Intel. NI took forever in both cases, they ported to OS X fairly quickly but most of their products were barely useable in their initial releases, and with PPC to Intel it was exactly the same, NI refused or declined to change from CodeWarrior to Xcode despite years of urging from Apple. This is no different what with GUI changes that developers have been asked to do that prepared the way for Apple Silicon. NI have routinely IMO listened to their bean counters over their developers, and to be honest nobody likes updating code with little change for the end user beyond Apple Silicon support etc.

NI aren’t doing anything new here, and Kontakt at least is already Apple Silicon compatible. I would bet Massive X, Guitar Rig, Komplete Control etc. will be out sometime this year. From a rep it’s likely Reaktor takes longer, (probably Maschine has well), and Absynth and FM8 never get compatibility. No idea about the FX.

A moderator mentioned the following order for NI updates:

„We're aiming to offer a native M1 support to as many products as possible before the end of this year. Coming up next should be Komplete Kontrol, Maschine, and synths in the Komplete family.“

He mentioned in an other thread, that Reaktor will take much longer to reach native compatibility.

Kontakt is the only grip on the market they have left. For their other stuff there are more than adequate alternatives on the market. Very few people build things in Reaktor, so I don't consider this an important product in the scope of the market.

They have made the same mistake over and over again by not keeping their code fresh. They also rubbed me the wrong way by axing Kore and after 10 years, Maschine still isn't a good replacement. Komplete Kontrol doesn't deserve to be mentioned, but I'll do it anyways for comedic effect.

Then, they completely screwed up my old projects by killing off activation for Kontakt 2, Pro-53, Vokator and a bunch of others.

I'm personally done with "sounds.com".

There really needs to be an open source format with a feature set comparable to Kontakt to finally put a nail in that coffin as well. I'm kind of annoyed of having to install UVI Workstation, TAL Sampler, Kontakt, the shitty Spitfire players, Sine, Decent Sampler, etc.. All because vendors prefer to release their stuff for a specific format.

Getting an M1-Pro MBP was a great break for me. I've only installed M1 native apps and plugins and so I have had to do without anything from NI. Now I'm used to no NI stuff and making plenty of music and am satisfied. I don't plan to ever install anything from NI again. They are just too slow and behind the times and it has been that way for a long time.

It is not just Apple Silicon support, but GUI scaling, MPE support, MTS-EPS support and so on. And now there is the new CLAP plugin format which is just about to be publicly announced and which is already supported by Bitwig, u-he and others. With the CLAP versions of u-he synths, one can use the per voice modulation system of Bitwig the same as it works with Bitwig instruments! Who knows when, if ever, something new like that would come to NI stuff. I'm glad to be free of NI!

There is no such plugin. You meant T-Bone.

it's embarrassing that NI has only Kontakt 6 as Apple Silicon Native. At least the brand new Massive X, instead of nothing. Shame!

Ha yes sorry....

Just noticed that Mixed In Key SE (https://mixedinkey.com/studio-edition/) is now ARM native. I have no idea when this happened as they don't seem to have sent a newsletter or anything else. I had emailed them about it multiple times because not only was it not native but the gui was also broken in Ableton on Monterey.

I don't think MIK SE is that popular of a plugin but I find it to be by far the best in daw realtime key and chord detection. I use it often when working with samples. The only downside is that like other MIK products it uses cloud processing so it requires a constant internet connection.

Is it me or has the release of native Apple Silicon versions slowed down noticeably lately? I feel not much has happened in the past few weeks.
