Roland Cloud has discontinued its Concerto sample playback engine, a plugin that powers a number of Roland Cloud’s virtual instrument libraries.
Via Concerto’s intuitive interface, you can browse and load installed Roland Cloud libraries, combine sounds, add effects processing, and much more. Concerto’s multithreaded loading and streaming optimizes performance, allowing you to create massive sounds with minimal CPU usage.
With Concerto’s retirement, Roland Cloud has also set free the Anthology series of virtual instruments with the sounds of iconic Roland synthesizers from past eras, as well as Drum Studio, Tera Piano and Tera Guitar Vintage Steel, and the FLAVR series instruments.
In total you’ll find around 40GB of content, including deep samples synthesizers, electric piano, orchestral instruments, and much more.
All libraries are now free to download with the latest version of the Roland Cloud Manager. The Concerto plugin supports VST/VST3, AU and AAX formats for Windows and Mac.

I had to download Concerto using the Roland Cloud Manager, but now I can't get it to find the Anthology 1990 sample file to load into it. It's in the same folder that the VST3 is. When I click the "Select Instrument" button, nothing happens.
EDIT: Nevermind...not sure what I did before, but now its showing up after reinstalling it.

Hey, friends. Brian from Roland Cloud here. This week, we've released the fantastic Poly Key Model Expansion Sound Pack by Francis Prève.

Utilize the full breadth of a synth legend with the JUPITER-8 Poly Key Model Expansion Sound Pack for ZENOLOGY and Roland hardware with the ZEN-Core Synthesis System.
One of the most famous polysynths of all time shines in this illustrious collection of tones by Francis Preve. Channel quintessential JUPITER sounds like “Pretty Polly” and “Profiteer,” or wade into uncharted waters with spooky plucks and keys like “Nuwave Wiggler” and “Funk Transistor.” Using these multifaceted presets, you can easily add sonic elegance to tracks in any genre.

Hi Brian, went in to Zenology to try these presets out and they were OK, but I also realised that there still isn't an arpeggiator in Zenology despite many patches that were moved over from other models having 'arp' in the name you are forced to drive them with an external arp and consequently cannot save the preset with arp settings within Zenology itself.Brian.McClelland wrote: Wed Jun 29, 2022 11:22 pm Hey, friends. Are reverb and an arpeggiator both on the to-do list at Roland Cloud? Pretty big shortcomings for such an expensive product.

agreed. zenology would be much more interesting to me if it had:WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 7:54 amHi Brian, went in to Zenology to try these presets out and they were OK, but I also realised that there still isn't an arpeggiator in Zenology despite many patches that were moved over from other models having 'arp' in the name you are forced to drive them with an external arp and consequently cannot save the preset with arp settings within Zenology itself.Brian.McClelland wrote: Wed Jun 29, 2022 11:22 pm Hey, friends. 1) reverb - the original presets often included reverb settings. if reverb is added to zenology, they will also need to update all the presets.
2) arpeggiator - more preset updating necessary?
3) faster load times (i always feel like my system hung whenever i load it - it can take up to 20 seconds on my system - Ableton even shows "not responding" in the title bar...LOL)
the JD-800 included MFX Group B. why isn't this available in the Z-Core and other model expansions?

i have never seen a reason given.damayor wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 9:03 am What was their reasoning for not adding reverb or did they ever give one?

Nevermind.
Noticed that my cpu throtles down to 1 Ghz when this happens instead of Bosting for each instance i add so something else fishy going on in my system

You will need RCM to download it, but it will work without any authentication. So technically it should continue to work even after uninstalling RCM.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Jun 29, 2022 9:27 pmDoes it need Roland Cloud to run?waltercruz wrote: Wed Jun 29, 2022 7:09 pm https://rekkerd.org/roland-cloud-discon ... -now-free/

Happy 4th of July weekend synthheadz from Venice Beach.
Agree, there are a lot of flaws in RC but I found a few ways to like them since my last post.
Best one is the Juno Chorus which I put on a Logic Pro B3 plug and it came to life like Eddie Van Halen in his prime.
I can't believe that there's no reverb or Boss Pedals but I have been getting by with Valhalla verbs and such.
Second year at Roland Cloud and happy generally. Monday I had a client call and pulled up a quick D50 Patch and a DX7 that I had sampled and made 350 USD in 20 minutes, so there's that. Happy 4th of July!
