Bummed I missed that sale, which price I consider reasonable. Regular price, not so much. I'll wait, as I'm definitely interested in it.

You'd made me think about getting one to use both for fun and as a second (and pretty cheap) monitor. But from that photo I don't think it'd work as well for that.

I'll probably get myself a second 21:9 29" monitor and stack them vertically. I'm about to switch to hybrid work-from-home (yay!). Even though I got through the whole lockdown WFH thing with just the one, it'd be nice to keep my Remote Desktop session on one monitor and local web browsing / Teams on the secondary one.

Also I'm guessing not too many games take advantage of two stacked widescreens, but I bet Bitwig does it well.

yeah for monitors, i wouldn't, you need to be able to read labels, and it can be a bit fuzzy on the set up window, id hate that to be a long process.
even for my purposes, middle of the day in summer, as you can see, not great, but at night or if i had curtains, should be fine.

Thank you! I was once looking for something like this, but so much of what I found was just really bad stuff made to make your track look “professional” on Instagram. This looks cool.

it's probably even better than it looks in my videos
i literally have no idea what im doing, just pick a visual or two, then start clicking various things till it looks interesting.
there's a few different examples in the live playlist on my youtube, including one that has my ugly mug in as a background, just to test photos.
it also takes videos but haven't managed to get them to play back yet, so will hit the manual soon, but so far it's just see what happens!

Got a Radial Engineering EXTC ("ectasy") stereo reamp box with pedal loop.

Wonderful utility to process out of the box.

You pushed me to work with VS. I only got as far as connecting it to 1 audio track and then midi. It responds better to midi, and then of course I could always play it like a real instrument, but if there's a way to send multiple audio tracks to trigger events I'll be happier.

not that ive discovered yet?
have you been using dynamics or spectra? so far im getting better results with spectra, but thinking of using the envelope to bring one in slower and one straight in, haven't really ventured too deep in to midi, just one channel so far, but even that does some fun stuff if you trigger an arp using the whole keyboard :o
although may induce epilepsy.

I've used both. Spectra with the threshold is definitely more useable, but I wish there was a way to set a different spectral focus on different layers.

Right now it seems that you can only trigger the separate layers via separate midi channels.

There's tons of work arounds though, so it's not the end of the world.
I coverted an audio drum loop to midi and then created separate midi tracks, on different midi channels sent to VS to trigger events on separate layers.

And yeah... an arp line could definitely induce an epileptic event. :hihi:

I want to try it out with pads, either audio or see how it responds to sustained held midi notes, versus just setting it up with automation.
